Adrian — The Adrian Maples Boys and Girls basketball teams were victorious over Tecumseh Friday night in Adrian. Both games were hard fought with the boys winning 51-49 and the girls winning 47-40 in overtime. In the boys game, Adrian went on a 10-0 run right before half to lead 26-22.
Tecumseh retook the lead and led 47-42 going into the fourth quarter. Adrian got four clutch points in the fourth quarter from JaKwan Parra, his only points of the game. Adrian was paced by the D.S. Johnson and Associates Player of the Game Logan Woodring who led all scorers with 24 points. Joe Francis added 13. For Tecumseh, Cormac Phelan the other D.S. Johnson player of the Game had 19.
In the girls game, DayAnna Marr and Grace Campbell led Adrian with 13 points apiece. Kylah Abbott had 11 and Chesney Wilke had 10 for Tecumseh.
