Lake Forest, Illinois – A high-scoring weekend between the Adrian College Bulldogs NCAA men’s hockey team and the Lake Forest College Foresters led to a two-game NCHA weekend series split.
LFC upset #6 AC in the Friday night contest, 5-2. The Foresters led 2-0 through 20 minutes of play, then tallied one more before the Bulldogs got on the score sheet. Freshman Frank Tafelski found the back of the net for Adrian, assisted by freshman Tecumseh native David Clark.
The Foresters scored twice more before Bulldog junior Brad Somers buried one home, assisted by sophomore Ian Amsbaugh and senior Riley Murphy. Adrian pulled their goalie multiple times late in the third, but could not get any closer, dropping the contest 5-2. Bulldog netminder Dershahn Stewart finished with 29 saves Friday night.
