The Blissfield Royals baseball team dropped a single LCAA game to Dundee Thursday, 7-4.
Jon Cheney pitched 6 and 1/3 innings, allowed 6 hits, no earned runs, and had 9 strikeouts. Alton O’Brien was 1-4 with an RBI for Blissfield.

The Madison Trojans baseball team downed Hillsdale in doubleheader LCAA action, 7-2 and 8-2.
Cameron Barber earned the win for Madison in game one. The righty surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking three.
Norman Frederick led Madison with two hits in four at bats. Kason Snyder, Ashton Hoag, Frederick, Eli Hiatt, and Cameron Barber each drove in one run for the Trojans.
Cameron Barber also earned the win for Madison in game two. The starter gave up four hits and one earned run over three innings, striking out four and walking one.
Ashton Hoag drove the middle of the lineup, leading Madison with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Hoag, Caiden Randall, and Elliott Beagle each collected two hits for the Trojans.
Madison will travel to Ida Bluestreaks on Tuesday.

The Tecumseh softball team lost two to Riverview on Thursday, 1-0 and 13-3.
Fulton pitched a complete 7 inning game, allowing one run on one hit, 2 walks, and 13 strikeouts. The Indians out-hit Riverview in the game, 5-1. Eldred had 2 RBI’s in the ten run defeat.

The Madison Trojans softball team downed Morenci in doubleheader action, 10-1 and 12-1.
Camylie Sower pitched all seven innings in game one, allowing just one hit and striking out 14. Nylee Blair was 3-for-5, with 3 RBIs. Jazlyn Zaszczurynski was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs.
The pitcher or record in game two was ZZ Mosher. She had five strikeouts and allowed just one run over 3 and a third innings. Zoey Bringman had a big game for the Trojans, going 2-3 with 4 RBI’s and two runs scored.
Madison improved to 6-2 overall, and stayed 4-1 in the LCAA.

The Clinton boys golf team won the 1st LCAA Jamboree of the season on Thursday at Dundee Golf Club.
Vinnie Skidmore of Clinton was medalist, shooting an even-par 36. Ida took second, Madison was third, Dundee took fourth, Hudson was 5th, Onsted was 6th, Hillsdale was 7th, and Blissfield finished 8th.
Madison’s Connor Thume shot a 41, Hudson’s Dane Franke shot a 40, Onsted’s Cole Wells fired a 42, and Blissfield’s Owen Diaz shot a 50 to lead their respective teams.

The Adrian boys golf team lost a tight SEC White contest to Chelsea on Thursday, 164-167.
Carter Hawken and Krishna Sunkara each shot a 39 for the Maples. Cameron Ritz fired a 43, and Cayden Barrus shot a 46.

Summerfield won the Tri-County Conference Boys Golf Jamboree on Thursday. Lenawee Christian and Whiteford tied for second. Erie-Mason took fourth, Britton-Deerfield finished 5th, while Sand Creek took 6th.
The Cougar’s Max Stamats was the medalist, with a 39. BD’s Chase Stetler was 5th with a 45.

The Adrian girls tennis team defeated Ypsilanti Thursday, 6-2.
Winning for Adrian were: Suzy Hedrick, Caroline Hofflander, Amya Avila-Perez, Kirsten Hess & Emma Pino, Kenadee Mann & Hailey Gallant and Kim Fermin & Sam Rodrigues.
The Maples are now 3-2 on the season.

The Adrian College men’s golf team competed in a two-round, 36-hole match play event against Siena Heights University on Thursday.
The Maple City Match Play began with a 2v2 best ball round at Adrian’s home course, Tecumseh Golf Club, before concluding with singles match play at Siena Heights’ home course, The Hills of Lenawee.
After the teams split the opening best ball session 2-2, the Bulldogs pulled ahead in singles play, winning 4.5-2.5 to secure a 6.5-4.5 overall victory and claim the trophy.

The Adrian College softball team returned to action Thursday afternoon, hosting Calvin University in an MIAA doubleheader…losing both games, 6-1 and 7-0.
Adrian will travel to face Hope College on Saturday for another MIAA doubleheader at 1pm.
