The Hudson Tigers softball team defeated LCAA opponent Onsted Tuesday, 11-2, with the second game postponed due to rain.
McKenna Mull picked up the win, with 6 strikeouts.
Sam Anderson went 3 for 4 at the plate, Macayle Grayer finished 2 for 3 at the plate, and Mull helped her cause at the plate with a homerun and two walks.
Hudson will be back on the diamond today, home against Britton-Deerfield.

Camylie Sower’s complete game no-hitter helped lead the Madison softball team to a 12-0 LCAA win over Hillsdale. The hurler had 15 strikeouts and issued 4 walks.
Kendall Gilbertson was 3-for-5, with a double and an RBI. ZZ Mosher finished 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBIs. Gracie Nieto was 2-for-5 with 2 RBIs.
Madison led game two 2-0 after one inning, then the rain came…forcing a postponement. The 4-2 Trojans will travel to Morenci on Thursday.

Tecumseh baseball had no trouble with Ypsilanti on Tuesday, winning the SEC game 15-0 in three innings. The victory improves the Tribe to 9-1 overall and 8-0 in the SEC.
Dirk Ysassi pitched for the Indians, allowing one hit, walking one, and striking out one. Sam Abbott, Bryce Radant, and Ben Andrews each had two RBIs for Tecumseh, who will be home today at 4:30pm against Lincoln.

The Adrian girls soccer team surged to an 8-0 win against Jackson on Tuesday. Tatum Borton netted five Maple goals. Sienna Gauna, Ella Salenbien, and Sophia Hassan each scored one for Adrian.

Madison boys golf lost to Ida in match play on Tuesday, at Deme Acres.
Winning for the Trojans was: Aiden Traxler, Jaden Bauknecht, and Grayson Hill. Connor Thumme, Cameron Mahony, and Pyke Choinski all halved their matches for Madison.

Siena Heights turned in several strong performances on the men’s side at the Gina Relays, highlighted by Top‑5 finishes in the sprints, jumps, relays and open races.
Logan Smith placed fourth in the 100 meters finals. He also added a runner‑up finish in the 200 meters.
Blake Schroeder delivered a third‑place finish in the 800 meters, while Zachery Kubish earned a third‑place showing in the 3000‑meter steeplechase.
Calvin Randolph placed second in the triple jump, while Devonta Habern finished fourth in the high jump. Cooper Bolton and Jeremiah Bullis tied for fourth in the pole vault.
Siena Heights also collected a podium finish in the relays, as the 4×100 relay team of Jeremiah Bullis, Kolby Masserant, Zander Goodwin and Smith placed third.

Siena Heights turned in multiple standout performances on the women’s side at the Gina Relays, highlighted by event victories, relay success, and NAIA national‑qualifying marks in the field events.
Jenna‑Ann Johnson won the 200 meters. In the field, Emma Valentine captured first place in the high jump… meeting the NAIA “B” standard. Emma Fessler and Morgan Lutton tied for third.
The Saints added another major highlight in the vault as Emma Stewart placed third in the championship pole vault. Her mark met both the NAIA “A” standard, securing automatic national‑qualifying credentials.
Cora Liu placed second in the 3000‑meter steeplechase, while the 4×100 relay of Jenna‑Ann Johnson, Savannah Richmond, Brooklyn Spradlin and Stewart finished third. Terria Fisher recorded a runner‑up finish in the triple jump.

The Siena Heights men’s lacrosse team recently suffered a 15-8 loss to WHAC opponent Taylor.
Sean Jablonski led the Saints’ attack with two goals and two assists. Ben Vitkauskas and Gio Marino added two goals apiece. Alex Lawson and Dylan Vazquez also had goals.
Goalie Alyx Walker totaled 17 saves.

Adrian College Athletic Director Craig Rainey has announced the hiring of 2016 graduate Jamison Webster as the next head coach of the men’s basketball program.
Webster, head boys basketball coach at Tecumseh since 2019, is the 30th head coach in program history, which dates back to 1902.
At Tecumseh, he led the program to its first SEC Championship in 28 seasons. The team also captured its first district championship in 28 years and posted four consecutive 15-win seasons.
He was named County Coach of the Year following the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, earned Cave Coach of the Year and SEC Coach of the Year honors in 2021-22, and received Honorable Mention All-State Coaching recognition in 2021-22.
During his time as a student-athlete at Adrian College, Webster was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2014-15 and served as team captain. At Siena Heights, he was Team Captain and Team MVP in 2013-14 and was named to the WHAC All-Conference Integrity Team in 2012-13.
Webster will begin his coaching responsibilities immediately as he prepares the Bulldogs for the 2026-27 season, which is slated to begin in November.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team mounted a strong late push, but an early deficit proved too much to overcome in a 21-14 loss to Calvin University on Tuesday evening at Sweebe Family Athletic Center.
Mariana Miller led Adrian with a hat trick and added an assist, while Jenna Allie contributed a team-high four assists along with two goals. Kacie Woodall and Madeline Turcotte each tallied two goals and an assist.
Goalkeeper Bella Norton recorded six saves in the contest.
Adrian falls to 11-4 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while Calvin improves to 12-5 and 6-1 in the MIAA. The Bulldogs will host an MIAA quarterfinal Saturday.

The Adrian College NCAA softball team hosted Kalamazoo College on Tuesday afternoon for an MIAA doubleheader, splitting the two-game series. The Bulldogs claimed game one, 9-1, before dropping game two, 11-5.
The Bulldogs totaled 12 hits in game one, with Taylor Gerhardt, Hanna Walker, Ava Wolfe, and Emmalee Shankel each recording two.
Avery Clark earned her eighth win of the season, tossing a five-inning complete game while allowing one run on five hits and striking out four.
Adrian finished with 13 hits in the second game, led by three from Meghan Kowalyk. Karson Malinich, Abbie Hoff, Addison Inskeep, and Ava Wolfe each added two hits.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday, when they host Calvin University for an MIAA doubleheader beginning at 3p.m.

The Adrian College women’s tennis team traveled to Calvin University on Tuesday for a MIAA conference match, dropping the match, 5-2.
Hye Jin Elliott and Claire Earley earned wins in Singles Competition.
The Bulldogs will travel to The University of Olivet on Saturday, April 25 for a 1PM match as their final contest before the MIAA Tournament.

The Adrian College track and field teams sent two individuals to Holland, Michigan, to compete in the 2026 MIAA Outdoor Championships Multis, hosted by Hope College.
On the men’s side, the Bulldogs called on Ian Kramp…finishing seventh overall. He recorded multiple personal bests, including in the 400-meter dash to place fourth. He also set a personal best in the javelin throw, and another in the 110-meter hurdles.
For the women, Maddy Loe competed for the Bulldogs…placing eighth overall. She placed third in the long jump with a personal-best. She also placed fifth in the shot put with a personal-best throw. Loe capped off the day with a third-place finish in the 800-meter dash, running a personal-best time.
The Bulldogs are set to compete Thursday and Friday at the Don Kleinow Memorial Invite, hosted by Siena Heights.

The ACHA MD1 announced its All-Athletic awards, and the Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division I hockey team was represented with two Bulldogs.
Sebastian Smith and goaltender Peyton Trzaska earned second team honors.
Team captain Smith led the Bulldogs with 45 points. He also led the team in goals with 24, while adding 21 assists.
Between the pipes, Trzaska posted a 24-4-1 record with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage..

The Adrian College Figure Skating Team enjoyed success at the US Figure Skating National Intercollegiate Finals, with two skaters earning national championships, and the team taking sixth overall out of seventeen at the two-day event in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Senior Captain Lianah Noormohamed claimed national champion honors in the Preliminary Free Skate. She was a guest on the AC All-Access Show, which takes place Monday nights at 7pm at Frickers in Adrian. Noormohamed talked about the program from her time as a freshman, until now…walking at graduation in less than two weeks…
With junior teammate Christine Koran winning it all in the Juvenile Free Dance, the program has 31 national champions from 18 different athletes since its founding in 2012.
