Tatum Borton eclipsed the 100 career goal mark Tuesday night against Lincoln, propelling Adrian girls soccer to a 12-0 win over the Railsplitters in SEC play.
Borton netted 5 goals for the Maples, giving her 103 total for her career. Bridget Alexander added a hat trick for Adrian. Sienna Gauna, Jaleigh Niese, Reese Bealeaux, and Ella Salenbien each scored one.

The Clinton baseball team took down LCAA foe Blissfield Tuesday night, 16-1.
Deajaun Garrison led the Redwolves offense going 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs, Wyatt Cooley added 3RBIs and Jaxon Phillip collected 2 hits.
Quinn Walden picked up the win on the mound going 4 innings allowing just 1 run and striking out 5.
Game 2 was suspended after 4 innings with the two teams tied at 1 apiece. The remaining 3 innings, and game three of the series, will be played in Blissfield Thursday.

Hudson and Madison softball split a doubleheader Tuesday. The Trojans won game one 8-7, while Hudson took game two 11-3.
In game one, Madison’s Camylie Sower and ZZ Mosher combined to pitch the Trojans to victory. Kalexiana Wrest was 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Kendall Gilbertson and Sower hit home runs for Madison.
Hudson’s Taylor Kopin and Ryen Rogers hit back-to-back home runs. Macayle Grayer had three hits in game one.
McKenna Mull was the winning pitcher for Hudson in game two. Kopin came up with another homerun, going 3 for 3 at the plate. Sam Anderson went 3 for 4 and Grayer went 2 for 3.

Madison baseball picked up a big win Tuesday, shutting out Hudson, 5-0. Trojan pitchers Kason Snyder and Brian Dopp combined for the win.
Madison Varsity Trojans got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Norman Frederick walked, Madison Varsity Trojans scored on a wild pitch, and Ashton Hoag singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Madison collected nine hits in the game. Dopp and Brooks Horwath each collected two hits. Hoag, Frederick, and Eli Hiatt each drove in one run for the Trojans.
Leadoff hitter Royce Beal led Hudson with two hits in four at bats. The second game will be completed Thursday before the 3rd game of the series at Hudson

The Adrian baseball team kicked their season off with two wins against Jackson, 15-0 and 11-1.
In game 1, Julius Robichaud picked up the win throwing 3 innings and striking out 8 batters while allowing no hits.
The Maples tallied 9 hits in the game. Luke Bruggeman, Ryder Borton, and Adam Parker had 2 hit games and combined for 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
In game 2, Abram received the win on the mound, throwing 5 innings, striking out 8, and allowing 1 run on 2 hits. Ryder Borton stayed hot going 2-3 in the game. Kasey Eichorn added 2 hits for the Maples…who will go to Jackson Thursday for a single game.

Onsted opened the season at Devil’s Lake in their first match of the year, finishing 2nd at the Onsted Quad with a team score of 178 using the top four scores. Jackson Northwest took 1st with a 159, while Madison finished 3rd with a 187.
Leading the way for Onsted was Jayden Valasek with a 43, followed by Cole Wells 44, Cole England 45, and Mason Chesser 46.
The top golfers for Madison also shot in the 40’s…with Hayden Downard’s 45, Conner Thumme’s 46, Rendley Richard’s 47. Cameron Mahoney, Noah Staudinger, and Mathias Dalton all shot a 49.
Adrian College softball kicked-off their MIAA season with two tough losses to defending D3 national champion, Trine University last week, but are looking to turn it around this week.
