Northville, MI – Two Lenawee County girls basketball teams played in the MHSAA quarterfinal round of the playoffs Tuesday night. Tecumseh (Division 2) advanced to the semifinal round, while Morenci (Division 4) dropped their contest.

The Tecumseh Indians girls basketball team played Goodrich Tuesday night in a Division 2 quarterfinal. It was a close game early on, but Tecumseh pulled away, then held on for the victory 61-53.
Tecumseh (25-1 overall, 10-0 SEC White) will play Frankenmuth in the semifinal round at Michigan State University’s Breslin Center Friday at 5:30pm. John Koehn will have the broadcast on 96.5fm The Cave.
Bulldogs Bow-Out in D4 Quarterfinal…
The Morenci Bulldogs’ memorable season came to a close Tuesday night in Brighton, as they fell in the Division 4 quarterfinal round 31-22 against Genesee Christian. Morenci was led in scoring by Colbie Ekins (9) and Alyssa Gibbs (7). Addyson Valentine and Katelyn Ruse each had 3 points for the Bulldogs. Their season ends with an impressive 24-2 overall record, and an 11-1 mark in the Tri-County Conference.
