Battle Creek, MI – The incredible season for the Tecumseh Indians Volleyball team came to an end in the Division 2 Volleyball State Final match in Battle Creek on Saturday.
The Indians (48-2-1 per MHSAA) fell 3-0 to Detroit Country Day (36-1 per MHSAA), (25-18, 25-21, 25-17). Emma Eldred led Tecumseh with 12 kills. Maddy Vanblack tallied 7 kills and 9 digs. Lily Gnodtke had 21 assists. Tecumseh Coach Morgan Skelton says its not just the winning that she will remember from this group of girls…it’s their personality and all the fun they had as a team…
Coach Skelton talked about the senior class that she will be losing to graduation, and the returners for the fall of 2025…
Tecumseh’s 2024 season included a Lenawee County championship, SEC White title, District championship, Regional title, and a State Finals appearance. This was the Indians second time ever in the volleyball championship game. They lost in the finals in 2011.
