Adrian, MI – The Adrian Maples and Lenawee Christian Cougars baseball teams continued their postseason runs with victories Wednesday night at Adrian College. The Clinton Redwolves softball team has been off since winning a district championship last weekend.

The Maples defeated Pinckney by the score of 5-0 yesterday. Sean Parker picked up the win on the mound, with Tristan Hayes and Julius Robichaud pitching in relief to close out the game.

Tyler Bruggeman started the game off with a triple down the left field line, and hit a home run later in the contest. Sean Parker helped his cause with a 2-2 day and DJ Ott went 2-3 and driving in 3 RBIs. Solomon Hiatt and Adam Parker singled in the game as well.

The win propels the Maples back to the University of Michigan, where they will play in a Division 2 Regional Final Saturday at 12:30pm against the winner of today’s semifinal between Trenton and New Boston Huron.

The Lenawee Christian postseason run continued Wednesday at Adrian College’s Nicolay Field after the Cougars defeated Camden-Frontier, 11-2. LCS will play for a Regional Championship 10am Saturday at Cornerstone University against the winner of the Concord vs. Vermontville Maple Valley game today.

The third Lenawee County baseball team in action Wednesday was Onsted. The Wildcats saw their season come to a close against Whiteford, losing 5-1 in the D3 Regional Semifinal. Onsted finished the 2024 season with a 20-12 record, and a District Championship.

Lenawee County’s lone softball district champion, the Clinton Redwolves, have not played a game since their June 1st 10-0 win vs Manchester in the title game. Clinton will play Ottawa Lake Whiteford at 12pm Saturday at Grass Lake High School. If they beat Whiteford, Clinton would play for a regional title at 2pm Saturday.
