Tecumseh Boy’s Basketball Win Regional Semi; Clinton and LCS Bow Out

Chelsea, MI – The Tecumseh Boy’s Basket postseason is not done quite yet, as the Indians won their Division 2 Regional Semi Final game against Charlotte Monday 59-54.

Tecumseh was lead in scoring by Ryder Zajac (14) and Gavin Chenevey (13). The Indians and Charlotte were tied at 28 going into the locker room at halftime, and were outscored 17-14 in the third quarter. Tecumseh found another gear in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponent 17-9 to come away with the win. The Indians will play SEC White rival Chelsea for a Regional Championship Wednesday at Chelsea.

Indians Coach Jameson Webster has this to say after the game: “Super proud of the fight our guys had tonight in continuing to battle through 4 quarters of which was a terrific game. We were able to play our best defensive quarter of the night in the 4th which propelled us to the victory.”

The Lenawee Christian Cougars took-on Detroit Public Safety Academy in a Regional semi final at Morenci Monday night, and fell 64-60. The Cougars were paced by Jaxon Salenbien’s 21 points. Tristin Beagle had 13 points for LCS.

The Clinton Redwolves’ season came to a close in the Regional semi final Monday night as well, losing to Plymouth Christian 72-62.
