Adrian, MI – The first round playoff game between the Adrian Maples and the Milan Big Reds will not be played. The Adrian Athletic Department issued this statement Friday morning on their website:
“In agreement between the Lenawee County Health Department, our team doctor, and our administrative team, Adrian will not play in the football game tonight against Milan.
Recently Adrian High School has transitioned to virtual learning for the next two weeks. This is due to the number positive cases and close contact tracing at the high school, impacting our ability to field a full healthy team.
If you purchased tickets for tonight’s game. They will be refunded to you. Because Milan is the higher seeded team, they will advance to the second round.”
