Cave Stadium Lenawee County, MI – Our first true pitcher-duel in the Lenawee Virtual Diamond League featured the 0-1 Lenawee Christian Cougars and the 1-0 Addison Panthers Thursday night.
Tyler Reed (LCS) and Ryan Luppo (Add.) went toe-to-toe for 6 plus innings, giving up zeros runs in that span.
In the 7th and final inning of regulation, Lenawee Christian’s Center-Fielder Amy Sanford led-off with a single. Right-Fielder Jerry Goniea stepped in and ended the contest with a two-run home run. The only score in the contest evened Lenawee Christian’s overall record to 1-1, and dropped Addison’s to 1-1.
Reed threw a complete game shut-out for LCS.
Luppo took the loss for Addison.

What is the LVDL?
With the absence of high school spring sports in Michigan, many people have turned to the virtual world. The staff at 96.5fm, The Cave has created the Lenawee Virtual Diamond League (LVDL) featuring local high schools. Each game is seven innings long, plus extras if needed.
There is a 48 game regular season schedule, with each of the 12 teams playing 8 games each. There will be four games aired weekly on 96.5 The Cave: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays at 6pm… and Saturday afternoons at 2pm through the week of August 3rd. After the 12 week season, there will be playoffs to determine a champion.
Rosters include teachers, staff, administration, and others to represent Lenawee County High Schools on the diamond.
