The Arrington Ice Arena at Adrian College will be busy this weekend with NCHA Playoff Hockey. The women’s team will start their post-season with a quarterfinals matchup with St. Norbert College.
The Green Knights played the Bulldogs two weeks ago in Adrian, with the home team winning both games 4-0. Those wins gave AC the #1 overall seed in the Slaats Cup tournament, and home ice advantage. The teams will play a two game series, with the first team to three points advancing. (A win is worth two points, a tie is worth one point)
#10/14 Adrian (19-3-3, 14-1-1 NCHA) is on a four game win streak, all without giving up a goal during that stretch. St Norbert (8-17, 7-9 NCHA) are 5-5 in their last 10 games, and are the #6 seed in the NCHA tournament.
Adrian goalie Denisa Jandova was named NCHA Defensive Player of the Week after her two shutouts vs the Green Knights two weeks ago. AC had a bye week last week.
Jandova’s wins over St. Norbert tied the school record of most consecutive shutouts with four. Prior to the two shutouts against St. Norbert, Jandova shutout the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons twice.
Game one of the quarterfinals between Adrian and St. Norbert will be on Friday, February 28th at 7:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena. Game two will start at 3pm. If necessary, a mini game will be played after game two on Saturday. Both games will be broadcast on 96.5fm and 965thecave.com.

#2 Lake Forest College vs #5 Concordia University-Wisconsin
#3 Aurora University vs College of St. Scholastica
If the Bulldogs advance past St. Norbert, then they would have a bye in the semi final round.
