Adrian College Junior point guard Jordan Harris scored 17 of his game-high 28 points in the first half to lead the Bulldogs to a huge conference game against the Calvin University Knights at home, 76-59.
With the scored tied 6-6, Harris came up the floor and hit three 3-pointers to take a 15-8 lead and force Calvin to call their first timeout of the game. The Bulldogs came out of the timeout and went on an 11-2 run to lead 26-12. Adrian kept the scoring consistent with a made shot from Trey Helinski and a three-point shot and layup from Jeremy Kalonji to lead by 18. The Bulldogs finished the first half on a 19-4 run to lead 48-20 at the break. Calvin struggled from the floor, only shooting 25%…while AC shot 61.3%
In the second half, Kaleb Swick joined the scoring by knocking down a pair of deep shots to extend the lead to 56-27. A technical foul against the Calvin bench put Harris at the line to knock down free throws and lead 60-35. With just under nine minutes remaining in the game, Harris scored from deep to give the Bulldogs their largest lead of the night at 30. With that lead late in the game, Adrian was able to clear their bench and come away with a 76-59 victory.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, Adrian’s last win against Calvin was January 3rd, 2018 at home by a 76-67 score.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, February 1st at 3pm as they host conference opponent Alma. Adrian looks to split the season series after losing to the Scots 84-64 January 8th.
