The Sand Creek baseball team took two from Concord on Thursday, winning 11-5 and 17-13.
Offensively in game one… Andon Sutherland was 2-3 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Carter Bettcher and AJ Murdico each had an RBI and a run scored. Parker Strahan, Chase Voorhees, and Parker Foltz each had a RBI.
Ivan Wilkinson got the win on the mound pitching 5 innings giving up 1 earned run with 13 strikeouts.
In game two… Parker Strahan was 3-5 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Chase Voorhees was 2-5 with 2 RBIs, Ivan Wilkinson had a homerun, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
Jackson Sutherland was 2-2 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Andon Sutherland added a Double and 2 runs scored and a RBI. AJ Murdico added 2 RBIs. Carter Bettcher and Parker Foltz each had a RBI for The Creek.
AJ Murdico got the Win on the mound pitching 4 innings giving up 4 runs. Maddox Wheeler got the save pitching 2 innings with 3 strikeouts
Sand Creek baseball improved to 4-8 on the season.

Hudson softball secured two wins against Reading on Thursday, 24-4 and 22-1.
McKenna Mull, Ryen Rogers, Amber Williams, Maci Godfrey, and Rihanna Ramirez had multiple hits each in game one.
TheTigers had 17 hits in game two. Taylor Kopin had four hits and scored four runs. McKenna Mull won both games…striking out seven Reading batters in each game.

Airport took two from Blissfield softball on Thursday… 13-0 and 5-2.
Grace Neiman had the lone Royals hit in game one.
In the game two loss, Blissfield outhit the Jets, 7-6. Kaitlin Bloom led the team with three hits. She had an RBI, and Grace Neiman had the other for Blissfield…who is scheduled to play Erie-Mason today.

Sand Creek softball split a doubleheader with Concord, losing the first game 11-10 and winning the second 8-3.
Sydney Marks had the big bat in game one with 3 hits, 3 runs scored and 4 RBI’s with a 3- Run Home Run. The Aggies are now 2-10 on the season.

Madison baseball dropped the rubber game of their series with Ida 5-3 on Thursday. ell 5-2 on Thursday.
Even though the Trojans out-hit the Blue Streaks nine to five, errors plagued Madison.
Cole Grof, Eli Hiatt, and Cameron Barber each collected two hits for the Trojans. Ashton Hoag (hoyg) and Barber had the RBI’s for Madison.
Barber took the loss for Madison, pitching six and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs…zero earned… on four hits, striking out seven and walking three.
Madison and Ida are both now 9-3 in the LCAA. The Trojans are scheduled to take on Tecumseh at home today.

The Adrian College men’s golf team wrapped up its 2025-26 season in the MIAA Men’s Golf Spring Finale in South Haven.
The Bulldogs went on to place fourth out of the eight MIAA teams.
Michael Shubeck led the Bulldogs as he tied for sixth in the field. He shot an even par 72 in the opening round before finishing one over par on Thursday.
Adrian finished the 2025-26 season in fourth-place in the MIAA Standings

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its All-MIAA Women’s Tennis Teams on Thursday, with two members of the Adrian College program earning Second Team All-MIAA honors.
Claire Earley and Hye Jin Elliott were both recognized, marking the third career All-MIAA selection for each player.

Adrian College Sports Information Director Mike Prang has been selected as a Panelist at the 2026 College Sports Communicators convention in Las Vegas, Nevada in June.
Prang will be speaking on hiring and developing the next generation as a first time leader. What this entails is a practical conversation for new and emerging leaders on how to hire, support, train, and grow early-career staff members.
Panelists will share strategies for building trust, setting expectations, and developing young professionals in fast-paced, high-demand environments.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the 2026 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes…with many Siena Heights Saints earning the distinction.
In order to be nominated, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year.
The Siena Heights Men’s Track and Field Program had five student-athletes:
Jacob Buchanan, Gabriel Iott, Tyler Landis, Kyler Pequet, and Luke VanAssche.
The Flag Football Program had two student-athletes:
Adel Hoglund and Helen Flores.
The Siena Heights Men’s Lacrosse Program had five student-athletes:
Dominic Aponte, Sean Jablonski, Joseph Keck, Marco Papadelis, and Benjamin Vitkauskas
The Siena Heights Baseball Program had thirteen student-athletes earn Academic honors:
Max Bledsoe, Christian Curnow, Evan Dempsey, Nolan Gray, Logan Kipfmiller, Pearson Mendiuk, Kylian Mok, Samuel Moore, Braxton Mustiful, Garrett Smith, Joe Smith, Ethan Verhelst, and Guy Young.
And the Siena Heights Men’s Golf Program had five student-athletes earn this distinction.
Ben Armbruster, Kasen Kauffman, Liam Nesbitt, Connor Parisien, and Tyrus Whitman.
