The Lenawee Christian Cougars baseball team swept Erie Mason, 2-1 and 8-2.
In the first game, Colton Clymer pitched all seven innings, allowing just one run, and striking out 14 batters. Clymer helped his cause at the plate, going 2-3 with an RBI.
Zyan Breznik pitched for LCS in the second game, earning the win after throwing five innings, allowing 2 earned runs, and striking out eight.
Breznik scored two runs, and stole three bases. Judah Marine pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

The Blissfield Royals baseball team lost their three game series against Ida, two games to one.
Blissfield took game one, 8-7, but lost games two and three 11-0 and 9-1. Jon Cheney went deep in game one, and had three RBI’s. Alton O’Brien had two RBI’s.

The Adrian Maples baseball team beat Lincoln by the score of 6-1 Friday.
Julius Robichaud picked up the win on the mound going 4 and two thirds innings with 5 strikeouts. Ethan Parker pitched in relief, surrendering zero runs for a combined no hitter.
Adrian tallied 9 hits in the game led by Carter Howard and Julius Robichaud with 2 hits.

After a high scoring Madison Trojans baseball win earlier in the week over Onsted, the LCAA foes finally finished their series over the weekend.
The conclusion of game two, and entirety of game three, took place at Adrian College on Friday night. The Wildcats took game two, 6-2, and Madison won the rubber game, 9-1…winning the series 2-1.
Brian Dopp hit a home run in game two for Madison, plating two runs. Lucas Arnold picked up the win for the Wildcats on the hill. He surrendered one hit and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out 10 and walking six.
Cameron Barber was dominant on the hill, as the starter rang up 10 strikeouts in Madison’s 9-1 victory in game three. He allowed three hits and one run over six innings while walking three.
Brian Dopp and Barber were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Madison. Dopp and Horwath each drove in three runs for the Trojans. Dopp also stole three bases.

Hudson and Morenci softball split a double header over the weekend, with the Bulldogs winning game one 5-4 and the Tigers taking game two 10-5.
Hudson’s McKenna Mull threw her 100th career strikeout during the first game. Mull, Brooklyn Isenhower and Sam Anderson collected two hits a piece during game one.
Mull got the win in game two for the Tigers, striking out 14 Morenci hitters. Emerson Sholl singled, scoring two runs and Cassidy Frantz doubled, scoring a run. Hudson had a total of 12 hits in game two.

The Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association held its annual awards banquet over the weekend, with a strong showing from Lenawee County programs.
Tecumseh High School senior Kierra Pinter was among the honorees, receiving Dream Team recognition. This award is reserved for outstanding athletes who have competed all four years of their high school careers while maintaining a high level of performance on the lanes.
Coach Dayli Lemmon of Hudson was named the Division 4 Girls Coach of the Year. The Tigers secured a state runner-up finish as a team, while Alexis Swanson captured an individual state title.
Coach John Harden of Blissfield earned the Division 4 Boys Coach of the Year honors. He guided the Royals to the first team state championship in school history, a weekend that also included Alex Kudlac securing the program’s first individual state title.

Blissfield Track and Field hosted the third running of the Blissfield Royals Invite on Saturday.
This unique meet combines the top two boys and girls times from each school in each event together for one overall ‘team’ score. The host Royals finished on top of the 9 team meet, followed by Clinton and Onsted.
Top performers on the boys side for Blissfield were:
Noah Sills, Michael Weidmayer, Bryson Pooley, Cameron Jordan, Skyler Kimple, Braedyn Tennant, Beckett Klump, Iain Gilmore, and Brady Bills.
Top Royals performers on the girls side were:
Kaleea Braun, Hailey Sills, Layla Gilbert, Mollie Yeager, Revan Ricker, Hailey Sills, Hope Miller, and Anna Hallett.

Clinton Track and Field athletes took home the King and Queen of the Blissfield Royals Invite.
Wyatt Dehring was voted by the coaches as King of the Meet for winning the 200meter and the long jump, being on the winning 4×100 relay team, and finishing 2nd in the 100meter. Ella Claus won the Queen of the Meet award for winning the 200 and 400meter runs, being on the winning 4×200 relay team and finishing 2nd in the 100meter.
Top Redwolves performers on the boys side were:
Cole Hillegonds, Wyatt Dehring, Peter Baker, Bronson Whelan, Cory Hoover, and DDDD Benschoter.
Top Lady Redwolves athletes were Ella Claus, Khloie Miller, Lila Randall, Madi McGraw, Harper Ulrich, and Bella Bannon.
Clinton, Blissfield, and Dundee will square-off in a LCAA tri-meet on Wednesday evening in Clinton.

The Adrian College softball team traveled to Albion College for an MIAA doubleheader on Friday afternoon and came away with a two-game sweep…1-0 and 14-6.
Avery Clark was superb in the circle for the Bulldogs in game one, with a complete game shutout to improve her record to 6-0. She only allowed four hits in the contest. Abbie Hoff drove in the game’s only run in the top of the seventh inning via groundout…scoring the speedy Taylor Gerhardt.
In game two, the dawgs were down early, but the bats erupted to secure the 14-6 victory. Addison Inskeep hit a grad slam, and Taylor Gerhardt had three hits.

The Adrian College baseball team earned another MIAA sweep over the weekend, taking both games of a road doubleheader against Trine University on Friday.
After allowing the first run of the day, the Bulldogs shut out the Thunder, and scored the next 20 runs…winning game one 11-1, and taking game two 9-0.
Adrian totaled 18 hits in the opener, led by four from Rolando Jimenez, three from Jaxon McGuigan, and two each from Brendan Willadsen, Nic Bruder, Gabe Jones, and Jack Boike.
Hudson grad Ambrose Horwath earned his seventh win of the season, tossing seven innings and allowing one run on six hits while striking out two.
AC finished game two with 15 hits, paced by four from Nic Bruder and three each from Rolando Jimenez and Gabe Jones.
Parker Faris improved to 5-0 on the season after throwing seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out nine.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team delivered a dominant offensive performance on Saturday afternoon, rolling past Albion, 20-7, at Docking Stadium.
Madeline Turcotte led all players with nine points on four goals and five assists, while Jenna Allie finished with a team-high five goals. Abby Malone added a hat trick, and Mariana Miller contributed two goals and two assists. Kacie Woodall recorded five points on two goals and three assists in the win.
With the victory, Adrian improves to 11-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs will play host to another top team in the MIAA, Calvin University, on Tuesday at 7pm.

The Adrian College men’s lacrosse team dropped a non-conference matchup to Colorado College, 21-8, on Saturday afternoon at Docking Stadium.
Austin Selvage and Braeden McNamara led the Bulldogs with three goals each, while McNamara added an assist for a team-high four points. Trace Tidswell and Bradyn Parrott each contributed a goal. Adrian will host Hope College Wednesday at 7pm for their final regular season game.

The Adrian College men’s golf team traveled to Trine University over the weekend for a two-day event, finishing fifth out of nine teams.
Mason Gurney paced Adrian by tying for 10th in the field. He opened the tournament with a 73 on Friday before adding a 77 on Saturday. Carter Klawonn had back-to-back rounds of 77. Simon Foreman finished with rounds of 77 and 81.
The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday, for a two-round match play contest against Siena Heights University.
The day begins at Tecumseh Golf Club at 8 a.m., followed by an event at The Hills of Lenawee Golf Club at approximately 2 p.m.

The Adrian College track and field teams traveled west to compete in the Knight Invite, hosted by Calvin University.
Leading the way for the men was Jaymes Vines, who won the 100-meter dash and anchored the winning 4×100-meter relay team. Joining Vines on the relay were Cal DeLise, Brandon Berry, and Asher Cousino. DeLise also placed second in the 100-meter dash and finished second in the 200-meter dash. Will Houvener paced the distance events with a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter run.
On the women’s side, Alysia Townsend led the Bulldogs with a victory in the 200-meter dash, posting a personal-best time. Bridget Waterstradt continued her strong season by winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The Bulldogs return to action next week at the Don Kleinow Memorial Invite, hosted by Siena Heights on Thursday and Friday.
