A trip to Michigan State University’s Breslin Center is on the line Tuesday night, with Tecumseh and Morenci girls basketball finding themselves in the Quarterfinal Round of their respective divisions.
In Division Two, the Indians will face Carleton Airport at Chelsea High School at 7pm. The game will be broadcast on 96.5 The Cave with John Koehn on the call.
In Division Four, the Bulldogs will take on Kingston at West Bloomfield High School at 6pm. That game will be on 103.9 WLEN with Jeff Bowman on the call.
If Morenci wins Tuesday, they will play in the semifinals on Thursday. If Tecumseh wins Tuesday, their semifinals would be Friday in East Lansing.

The Adrian College women’s rugby team opened up their spring season on the road at the Cavalier 7s, dropping all four matches… to Walsh, Michigan, Davenport, and Northern Iowa.
Jersey Wilson led the Bulldogs offense with five tries, Theo Marsh had three tries, while Madisyn McDonald had one.
The ‘Dawgs will be back in action on March 29th, when they head to St. Bonaventure, New York.

The Adrian College Men’s ACHA division one hockey team upset Number 1 Minot State in the National Tournament quarterfinal round Sunday, 4-1, to advance to the final four for the sixth consecutive season.

The Bulldogs 13-10 loss to DePauw before bouncing back to defeat Hanover 17-9. The ‘Dawgs move to 9-9 on the season.

The Adrian College baseball team took down North Central College, 7–5, on Saturday. The Bulldogs improved to 7-4 on the season after overcoming a four-run first inning by the Cardinals.
Adrian returns to action 4pm Tuesday at home against Manchester University.

The Adrian College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 14-6 contest to Oberlin College on Saturday afternoon at Docking Stadium. Austin Selvage led Adrian offensively with two goals and an assist.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team dropped a tightly contested 14-13 overtime decision to Otterbein University on Saturday afternoon inside the Sweebe Family Indoor facility.
Kacie Woodall and Mariana Miller led Adrian offensively with three goals each.

The Adrian College men’s volleyball team split a Saturday home tri-match inside the Merillat Center, falling to Wisconsin–Stevens Point 3-0 in the opener before bouncing back with a 3-0 victory over Franklin.
The Bulldogs now sit at a 8-10 overall record, and will host conference foe Wittenberg Friday at 7pm.

Aiden Smith of the Adrian College men’s wrestling team earned his second career All-American finish at the NCAA Division III National Championships over the weekend.
Smith placed eighth in the nation at the 165-pound weight class. His All-American status is the eight in program history for Adrian College.

The Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey team traveled to eastern Pennsylvania for the First Round of the NCAA Division III National Tournament on Saturday afternoon. Ian Wendt called the contest on 96.5 The Cave…
The No. 11-seeded Bulldogs faced No. 6-seeded Wilkes University. Adrian’s season came to an end following a 2-1 loss to the Colonels.
Wilkes scored the first goal of the game with under two minutes remaining in the opening period. The Colonels added another goal in the second period to take a 2-0 lead, prompting a Bulldog timeout. Adrian responded on the power play when Courtney Ben netted her 26th goal of the season to cut the deficit to one heading into the third period.
The third period remained scoreless late into the frame, forcing the Bulldogs to pull their goalie for the extra attacker. Adrian struggled to gain sustained control of the puck during the 6-on-5 advantage, ultimately falling 2-1 in the first-round matchup.
Emma Simon recorded an assist in the contest, while Kiera Stack made 27 saves in goal.
The Bulldogs finish the season with a 24-6 record. Adrian captured the regular season and conference tournament championship of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Siena Heights baseball team played its second WHAC doubleheader split in as many days, winning one and losing one at Cleary on Sunday.
The Saints took game one 8-7, and lost game two 11-7.
SHU split with Michigan-Dearborn, winning game one 8-0 and losing game two 3-1.

The Siena Heights men’s lacrosse team played its first game of the year at O’Laughlin Stadium, dropping a 10-6 final to WHAC opponent Lawrence Tech on Saturday.
Joey Keck led the SHU offense with three goals. Sean Jablonski added two tallies for the Saints In goal, Alyx Walker totaled 19 saves.

The Michigan men’s basketball team has earned a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament, and will be the top team in the Midwest Regional.
The Wolverines will begin their NCAA Tournament run in Buffalo, New York, facing the winner of the First Four matchup between 16 seeds UMBC and Howard at KeyBank Center on Thursday at 7:10 p.m.
If Michigan advances, it will face either 8th seed Georgia or 9th seed Saint Louis in the second round on Saturday.

The Michigan State men’s basketball team has earned a bid to its 28th consecutive NCAA Tournament, extending the longest NCAA Tournament streak in Big Ten history.
The Spartans received a 3 seed and will face 14 seed North Dakota State in the first round of the East Region on Thursday at approximately 4:05 p.m. on TNT. The game will be played at KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.
The winner between the Spartans and the Bison will take on the winner of 6 seed Louisville versus 11 seed USF on Saturday.

The winner of the Michigan State-Colorado State game will advance to the second round to meet the winner of regional 4 seed and host, Oklahoma, and 13th-seeded Idaho.

The University of Michigan women’s basketball team earned its eighth straight berth to the NCAA Tournament and will be the 2 seed in the Fort Worth 3 region.
The Wolverines will face Holy Cross on Friday at Crisler. NC State and Tennessee round out the four-team site in Ann Arbor. The 2 seed is the highest in program history for the Wolverines.
