The Wildcats finish the season with a school-record 24 wins and just 3 losses. They captured their 5th straight league championship, a district title, and a regional championship — the program’s first in 43 years.

Coach Brad Maska said that his seniors… Cole Wells, Rylan Henagan, Mason Chesser, and Bryson Sutherland… showed the underclassmen that hard work truly pays off.

Two Lenawee County girls high school basketball teams are still alive in the MHSAA postseason tournament, the Tecumseh Indians and Morenci Bulldogs.

Both teams will be in Regional Finals matchups tonight. On 96.5 The Cave, the Indians will play Parma Western at 6pm in Tecumseh. John Koehn will have the play-by-play.

On 103.9 WLEN, Jeff Bowman will have the Morenci vs Summerfield game at 7pm in Petersburg.

Siena Heights men’s basketball player Nick Sobush was named to the WHAC All-Freshman Team, as announced by the league.

Sobush led the team with 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals per game, totals of 68 and 36, respectively, as he started all 28 games in 2025-26. Sobush was also second on the team in field-goal percentage, three-point percentage, and free-throw percentage.

Sobush had averages of 11 points and 3.2 rebounds. Teammate Alex McCoy was named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team while Spencer Brown, Jack Olis, George Kalatzis, Danilo Rajlic and Jonas Tester were named Academic All-WHAC

The Adrian College softball team was back in action on Tuesday as they traveled to Columbus, Ohio to take on Capital University. The Bulldogs claimed game one 9-1 before sweeping the doubleheader with a 6-2 win in game two.

D3baseball.com released its Week 3 Top-25 poll on Tuesday morning. After suffering a three-game skid, the Adrian College baseball team dropped from No. 9 to No. 17 in the rankings.

Adrian owns a 6-3 record on the young season.

Adrian is the only team from the MIAA ranked in the Top 25, while Kalamazoo is receiving votes.

The road ahead does not get any easier for the Bulldogs, as they are set to face the newly ranked No. 1 team in the country, Denison University, on Friday. Adrian will also take on North Central College on the road, followed by a matchup with RV Baldwin Wallace.

The Adrian College men’s volleyball team battled through a tightly contested match to defeat Greenville in five sets… 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, and 15-13 on Tuesday evening at the Merillat Center.

Sam Landers led the Adrian offense with 23 kills and added 14 digs for a double-double. Dominic Rees was highly efficient with 17 kills on a .400 hitting percentage, while Carson Bell contributed 11 kills and a strong presence at the net with seven total blocks.

Andrew Graczyk directed the offense with 45 assists and added three service aces. Defensively, Rolen Maclin paced the Bulldogs with 17 digs.

Adrian improves to 7-9 overall and 1-3 in MCVL play and look to keep their hot streak alive as they host Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Franklin on Saturday for a Tri-Match.

The Adrian College equestrian team delivered an impressive performance at the Regional Western Championships, recording multiple top-six finishes and strong rides across the board.

At the conclusion of the competition, overall season standings were also announced, with the team earning third place for the season. Individually, three Bulldog riders will advance to the Semi-Finals in Kentucky in two weeks…Lauren Bartkiewicz, Grace Slusarski, and Christopher Warwick.

The team also celebrated a special honor for one of its own horses. Sheldon was named Horse of the Year, an award voted on by all competing teams throughout the season.

The Adrian College NCAA Women’s Hockey Team is preparing for a trip to Pennsylvania to play in the first round of the national tournament, following their 4-3 win over St. Norbert College in the NCHA championship this past weekend.

Junior forward from Minnesota, Hunter Reardon, scored the game winning goal in overtime. She talked about that moment on the AC All-Access Show Monday night at Fricker’s in Adrian…

 

The Bulldogs will play Wilkes University for the first time in school history Saturday at 3pm, with a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals on the line. Tune in to the broadcast on 96.5 The Cave with Ian Wendt.

2026 marks the 12th Annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Game between the Lenawee Smoke Eaters and the Blue Knights. The contest will take place at Adrian College’s Arrington Ice Arena this Friday at 7pm.

The game will be video streamed on Lenawee TV, with John Koehn and Joe Johns on the call.
