The Lenawee Christian Cougars girls basketball team will play for a district title Friday after defeating TCC foe Britton-Deerfield on Wednesday, 65-14.
Brynn Davis led LCS with 23 points…and London Schmid chipped-in 15 for the Cougars.

The Blissfield Royals defeated the Clinton Redwolves in girls basketball Wednesday night, 40-26.
De’Mya Gibbons had a double-double, with 16 points and 16 rebounds.

The Hudson Tigers girls basketball team earned a 54-47 win over Quincy Wednesday night in the district semi-final.
Taylor Kopin led the way with 17 points. Macayle Grayer scored 13 points and ripped-down 24 rebounds.
Hudson will play for a district title against Homer at 7pm Friday night in Quincy.

The Onsted girls basketball season came to a close Wednesday against Brooklyn-Columbia Central, 56-16.
Hannah Hill had 8 points, while Kayla Gerken scored 7 for the Wildcats. Onsted finishes their season 16-7 overall.

Adrian College’s Alysia Townsend earned All-MIAA honors and was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.
The sophomore delivered a record-breaking performance at the MIAA Championships to secure the league’s top field honor.
The MIAA also named Keith Scott and Jaymes Vines to the All-League Second Team.
Townsend, Vines, and Scott will compete at the ONU Last Chance Meet on Saturday, in hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Adrian College NCAA baseball team continued its southern trip on Wednesday night as they faced Piedmont University on the road. The 9th ranked Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season in a battle with the Lions, 11-9. Adrian moves to 5-1 on the season.

The Adrian College men’s tennis team faced off against Concordia College-Minnesota on Wednesday in day two of their trip down to Florida. Things didn’t go as planned for the Bulldogs as they fell in the match, 6-1.
