The Morenci Bulldogs girls basketball team picked-up a key Tri-County Conference victory on Wednesday over Lenawee Christian, 45-17.
The 10-1 Bulldogs were led by Evelyn Joughin with 14 points and 4 assists. Colbie Ekins scored 13 points while securing 14 rebounds. Morenci will host Evergreen on Saturday.

Ella Salenbien set a new Adrian High School single game rebounding record in the Maples’ 55-15 drubbing of Ypsilanti on Wednesday.
Salenbien had 24 rebounds against the Grizzlies, a record that has stood since 1980. Rhonda Moorehead…now Hubbard… had 23 rebounds.

Addi and Avery Zajac led the Tecumseh girls basketball team to a SEC win over Jackson Wednesday night, 78-28.
Addi led the defending Division 2 state champions with 22 points and 16 rebounds, while Avery added 15 points. Chloe Bullinger added 12 pts and 5 assists for the Tribe. Makayla Schlorf added 10 points in the win. Tecumseh will host SEC opponent Ypsilanti on Friday.

Sand Creek girls basketball fell to Summerfield 56-16 in Tri-County Conference action.

Jaxson Francis scored 27 points to lead the Adrian Maples boys basketball team to a 69-61 win over Ypsilanti on Wednesday.
Calvin Polley was solid for Adrian, with 14 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Lamont McKinney scored 13 points, and Ben Perez netted 12 for the 12-2 Maples.
Adrian travels to Lincoln on Friday night.

Alex McCoy’s 5th made 3‑pointer on the season lifted Siena Heights to a 67–65 win over Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday night.
The step-back triple went in with just three seconds remaining. UNOH had a three of their own at the buzzer, but it didn’t go in and the Saints won the WHAC contest.
While the single-game moment was spectacular for Saints fans, a career milestone was reached by Jonas Tester, as he became the 26th player in program history to score 1,000 points.
He finished with 14 points on Wednesday. Jasiah Rainey scored 16 points for Siena Heights, while Jack Olis added 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Ty’Veonna Davis scored 24 points and Jam Thigpen controlled the paint as Siena Heights pulled away in the second half for a 75–56 victory over Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday night.
Kanyla Tyler contributed 16 points, while Lauren DeWolf scored 13 for SHU. Thigpen delivered a dominant effort inside with 13 points and 18 rebounds.

Morgan Babb scored 24 points, Aubree Ickes recorded a 19-point 10-rebound double-double, Ava Schultz scored 15 points in the Adrian College women’s basketball’s 80-67 home win over Alma College on Wednesday night.
After the game, which was aired on 96.5 The Cave, Bulldog head coach Sam Miller talked about the victory…complimenting the efforts of those three players…
The win snapped a 5-game losing streak, and 4-game losing streak to the Scots. The Bulldogs travel to Hope College Saturday at 3pm. The Flying Dutch lost to Albion Wednesday in overtime.

A 27-point effort by Darrius Welch was not enough to lift the Adrian College men’s basketball over Alma College on Wednesday night, as the Bulldogs lost to the Scots, 102-79.
Carson Lutz contributed 16 points, five rebounds, and four assists. The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, where they will host Hope College at 3pm.

The Adrian College equestrian team recently earned the High Points Team title in the morning competition at the MSU Pavilion in East Lansing.
Some highlights include:
Grace Slusarski qualified for Area 64 Regionals in the Ranch Riding
Bryleigh Ahearn won her Level I Horsemanship class
Denae Covey won both of her Level 1 Horsemanship classes
Corynn Pratto won her Ranch Riding class and took a second-place finish in the Level 2 Horsemanship class
Christopher Warwick won his Open Horsemanship class, and continues to lead the Regional High Point Rider competition for Area 64
Bulldog Equestrian will compete in their final rides of the regular season in mid-February in Albion.

The Siena Heights women’s wrestling team picked up multiple match wins and an eighth‑place finish from Aveona Edwards at the Warrior Women’s Open.
Edwards led the way at 110 pounds, bouncing back from an opening‑round loss to secure two straight pins in the consolation bracket.
