The Blissfield Royals boys bowling team took-down Hillsdale on Tuesday, 27-3.
The Royals built a 10-0 lead after the Baker Games. Jon Cheney had the high score… a 246. Preston Iffland rolled a 213 and 211, Matthew Anderson had a 216, and Collin Retter fired a 238.

The Britton-Deerfield Patriots girls basketball team won over Addison on the road Tuesday, 34-25.
Delmotte paced BD with 14. Daniels and Arnold each had six to lead Addison.

In non-conference girls basketball action, the Hudson Tigers downed the Sand Creek Aggies, 58-14.
Taylor Kopin had 17 for Hudson. Steinke led the Creek with 6 points.

The Morenci Bulldogs girls basketball team suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday, against Columbia Central, 43-36.
Colbie Ekins had a stand-out game for Morenci, scoring 17 points and collecting 16 rebounds. Evelyn Joughin scored 10 points for the Bulldogs, who host Lenawee Christian Friday night.

Leigh Wyman led Blissfield with 25 points. Kaleea Braun had 17 points. De’Mya Gibbons had 8 points and 12 rebounds for the Royals.

The Adrian Maples girls basketball team defeated Madison on Tuesday, 49-34. Amor Sanchez led the Maples with 20. Jones paced the Trojans with 11.

Eli Hiatt led the Trojans with 12 points. Cole Grof had 9 for Madison.

The 120 finalists for the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Scholar-Athlete Awards for the 2025-26 school year have been announced.
Farm Bureau Insurance underwrites the Scholar-Athlete Awards and will present a $2,000 scholarship to each recipient.
To be eligible for the award, students must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and previously have won a varsity letter in at least one sport in which the MHSAA sponsors a postseason tournament.
Students also were asked to respond to a series of short essay questions and submit two letters of recommendation and a 500-word essay on the importance of sportsmanship in educational athletics.
Adrian’s Reese Beauleaux is a finalist for Class ‘A’.
Tecumseh’s Tucker Cole is a finalist for Class ‘B’.
Hope Miller from Blissfield is a finalist in Class ‘C’.
Zyan Breznik from Lenawee Christian is a finalist in Class ‘D’.

The Adrian College women’s wrestling team reached a significant milestone this week, earning a spot in the NCAA Women’s Top 25 Coaches Poll for the first time this season. The Bulldogs debuted at No. 20 in the latest rankings released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
In the latest individual rankings, Mia Gaetjens earned a spot in the national rankings at 180 pounds, landing a No. 6 ranking.
At 103 pounds, Alexis Baumgartner improves to the No. 4 spot, while Carleigh Czerneski improves to the No. 3 spot at 117 pounds. Zionah Gardner earns herself a spot at No. 5 in the 145 pound class and Gaetjens stays put in No. 3 in the 180 pound class.
The Bulldogs women’s wrestling squad will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Indiana Tech Warriors Open.

D3baseball.com released its Preseason Top 25 Poll on Tuesday, and the Adrian College baseball team checked in at No. 20 in the opening rankings.
Adrian finished the 2025 campaign with a 30-18 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Regional Championship, which was hosted at Nicolay Field. The Bulldogs were eliminated by top-ranked UW–Whitewater, who went on to capture the NCAA Division III National Championship.
Adrian is the lone representative from the MIAA in the D3baseball.com Preseason Top 25. The Bulldogs will open the 2026 season at LaGrange College on February 20th.

The USCHO and DIIIHockeyNews released its latest Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Poll on Monday, and the Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey team held strong at No. 7 with a 13-4-0 record on the season.
The Bulldogs had a successful weekend on the road, sweeping Lake Forest College in both conference matchups.
