The Lenawee County boys basketball season will tip off in about two weeks. The Adrian Maples are looking to make another deep postseason run after falling just shy of a regional championship last season. Head Coach Jordan Kelly was on the boys basketball coaches preview show on Sunday at Skytech Sports Bar in Adrian.
He broke down the Maples’ roster construction…
With a different group than last year, coach Kelly was asked about possibly changing philosophies…
The Maples begin their season December 2nd, hosting Bedford.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team hosted Bluffton University on Tuesday night for a non-conference matchup, coming away with a tight 70–66 victory.
Hannah Lisch led the way with a season-high 25 points, along with three rebounds and four steals. Aubrie Icks added 10 points and pulled down a team-leading eight boards. Ava Schultz also had a strong night on the glass, finishing with eight rebounds and seven points.
The Bulldogs are back in action this Saturday, hosting Otterbein University at 3PM.

The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced its Three Stars of the Week, and Adrian College forward Ava Mattaliano was selected as one of the Women’s Three Stars of the Week.
She opened the weekend with a goal in Friday night’s 4-0 win over Aurora University. She followed with a standout performance on Saturday, contributing a goal and two assists in a 7-1 victory.
Adrian returns to action this weekend with a two-game conference series at Lawrence University.

Adrian College men’s lacrosse and head coach Brett Wetzel have announced the program’s 2026 schedule, with the Bulldogs set to open play on February 14th.
The Bulldogs finished the 2025 season with an 11–7 overall record and a 5–1 mark in MIAA play, earning the number 2 seed and a bye into the conference tournament semifinals. In their first MIAA Tournament home game since 2015, the Bulldogs battled third-seeded Albion in a nail-biter, ultimately falling 13–12.
The 2026 season opens at home against Kenyon College on February 14th. MIAA play gets underway on April 1st when the Bulldogs travel to Kalamazoo College.
The MIAA Tournament begins on April 25th.

The Michigan Collegiate Athletic Association announced the 2025 football All-MIAA teams, with Adrian College earning significant recognition.
The Bulldogs secured eight First Team selections and three Second Team selections. The 11 total honorees mark Adrian’s highest single-season total since 2017.
First team recipients were: quarterback Noah Beaudrie, wide receivers Ethan Abberger and Braiden Whitaker, defensive lineman Andrew VanDyke, linebacker Liam Karry, safety Ethan Burrows, and punter Cooper Tracy, offensive lineman Joe Pruchnic.
Second team recipients were: defensive lineman Chris Jackson, linebacker Maddox Woods, and offensive lineman Isaiah Simon.
Adrian finished the year 8-2, securing its first eight-win season since 2014.

D three football dot com announced its weekly National Team of the Week on Tuesday morning, and for the second time this season, the Adrian College football program was represented.
Wide receiver Ethan Abberger earned one of the positional spots on the final regular season Team of the Week.
Abberger recorded 13 receptions for 241 yards in Adrian’s season finale against Alma. He hauled in two touchdowns, including a 7-yard score, and his 241 receiving yards rank third all-time in program history for a single game.
