Bulldogs Drop Top-25 Showdown…
Adrian College football entered the weekend ranked number 25 in the country, and one of ten remaining undefeated teams in D3 football. Both of those statements are no longer true after suffering a heartbreaking 19-17 loss at home Saturday afternoon to one-loss and 19th ranked Hope College.
Bulldog head coach Joe Palka had this to say following the loss…
With his team up 17-16 early in the fourth quarter, AC tried a half-back pass inside the Hope College 10 yard line on 4th down and 5. The Flying Dutchmen broke-up the pass, preventing Adrian from expanding their lead. Coach Palka talked, in general, about big plays in the game…
The 6-1 Bulldogs have three more games left in their regular season, and a MIAA title is still not out of the question for Adrian College, despite the late-game field goal giving them their first loss Saturday…
