The Adrian boys tennis team’s season came to an end Wednesday at Regionals at Detroit Country Day.
The Maples came in 4th, 4 points short of the 3rd spot to qualify for the State tournament. Linus Hammes took Regional runner up for #3 Singles. Cayden Barrus, Grant Garza, and Harrison Boyd all reached the semifinals in their respective flights.

Madison volleyball defeated Onsted earlier this week…three sets to none.
25-17, 25-20, and 25-15. Leaders for the night were Lilly Pharion with 17 kills, Kianna McKinney with 18 digs, and Ja’Kara Rincon with 19 assists.
The Trojans are 20-10-1 overall, and 8-1 in the LCAA.

The Adrian College women’s volleyball team hosted Hope College on Wednesday night for a MIAA matchup, where the Bulldogs fell in straight sets.
Virginia Rowan and Megan Feldmann led the Bulldog offense with five kills apiece, while Emma Leinberger directed the attack with 18 assists. Khloe Budzynski added four kills to the effort. Defensively, Rainie Atherton anchored the back row with 17 digs.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday, October 14th where they will travel to Angola, Indiana and take on Trine University at 6:30 PM.

Siena Heights University Men’s soccer earned a hard-fought 2-1 road win over WHAC conference opponent Cornerstone Wednesday night.
Gustavo Lira scored the first goal of the match in the 8th minute, unassisted. The rest of the first half would remain quiet on the scoring front; however, in the second half, Cornerstone would score quickly in the 46th minute. In the 79th minute, the Saints responded with a game-winning goal from Gustavo Famula, unassisted.
The Saints’ goalie, Yuriy Tukalevskyy, totaled five saves
Siena Heights will return to action on the road against WHAC Conference opponent, UNOH, on Saturday.

A lone goal from Maddie Morris was all the Siena Heights women’s soccer team needed to beat WHAC conference opponent Cornerstone Wednesday night.
Morris’ goal came in the 21st minute of the match, assisted by Jenna Moeller.
The Saints’ goalie, Sydney Eads, was one for one. Eads saw one shot on goal and saved it.
Siena Heights will return to action on the road against WHAC Conference opponent, UNOH, on Saturday.
