Adrian, MI – Here are the highlights from Friday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update…

The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim Team lost a tight contest to the Jackson Vikings on Thursday, 93-92 on the road.

First place finishes included the 200 yard Medley Relay Team of Madison Betz, Kellie Fahey, Ciel Stolberg, and Aubree Barkway; Maddy Proskie in the 200 yard Freestyle; Ciel Stolberg in the 200 yard Individual Medley and in the 100 yard Butterfly;

the 200 yard Freestyle Relay of Olivia Gray, Ava Neesam, Maddy Proskie, and Aubrey Barkway; Madison Betz in the 100 yard Backstroke; Olivia Gray in the 100 yard Breaststroke; and the 400 yard Freestyle Relay of Ciel Stolberg, Aubree Barkway, Maddy Proskie, and Madison Betz.

Tecumseh’s next meet is an Invitational on Saturday in Holland.

The Adrian Maples girls swim team defeated SEC White foe Pinckney on Thursday, 128-41.

Adrian took 1st place in all 12 events. Swimmers taking 1st included: Emma Pino, Abby Meyers, Ella Salenbien, Reese Beauleaux, Michele Coy, Hailey Gallant, Brandi Darr, Selena Solis, Aubree Gallant, Giselle Lindeman, Bella Chesher, and Allison Marks.

The Tecumseh volleyball team has a superb 30-1 record heading into the weekend, with several players making their mark.

The 2024 State Runners-up are in position to make another deep playoff run in 2025. Emma Eldred was selected as the Iott Insurance Playoff of the Week on 96.5 The Cave. She was featured on the live morning show Thursday, and talked about her teammates…

The Adrian Maples volleyball team lost to Dundee in a close five-set match on Thursday. The set scores were: 25-23, 16-25, 27-25, 25-27, and 8-15.

Suzy Hedrick anchored the defense with 23 digs.

Jazzlynn Davis had 10 aces, 4 kills, and 6 blocks.

Addy Martolock contributed 24 digs and 9 kills.

Ella Salenbien led the attack with a team-high 17 kills and added 13 digs.

Edynn Eichorn dished-out 22 assists while contributing 10 digs.

The Sand Creek volleyball team traveled to Britton Deerfield to take on the Patriots, winning in three sets, 25-10, 25-12, 25-10.

Lily Hawkins – 11 assists & 2 aces
Emma Maxwell – 5 digs & 6 kills
Elise Wilkinson – 6 kills, 5 aces & 2 blocks
And Savannah Baldwin – 6 kills & 4 aces

The LCS Volleyball Team played some great volleyball Thursday against Erie Mason, sweeping them in 3 sets: 25-16, 28-26, 25-16.

Brynn Davis had 21 assists, 11 digs, & 7 kills. Hattie Fansler had 15 kills and 8 digs, and Ava Feick had 7 kills.

The Cougars will play BD in a double header next week.

An early lone goal from Chelsey Chambless was all the Siena Heights women’s soccer team needed to be victorious over WHAC conference opponent Michigan-Dearborn.

The Saints’ goalie, Sydney Eads, recorded a total of 3 saves.

Siena Heights outshot Michigan-Dearborn 21 to 5.

SHU will return to action against WHAC Conference opponent Indiana Tech on Saturday, as a part of Siena Heights Homecoming Weekend.

Tiago Moraes scored two second-half goals that led the Siena Heights men’s soccer team to a victory over WHAC conference opponent Michigan-Dearborn.

Moraes’ goals came in the 70th and 86th minutes. Gustavo Famula had the assist on the first goal, and Yan Vasconcelos assisted on the second.

The Saints’ goalie, Yuriy Tukalevskyy, recorded a total of 5 saves.

Siena Heights outshot Michigan-Dearborn 23-12.

SHU will return to action against WHAC Conference opponent Indiana Tech on Saturday, as a part of Siena Heights Homecoming Weekend.

The Siena Heights women’s volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to WHAC opponent Indiana Tech on Wednesday. Set scores were 25-20, 25-19, 25-19.

Devyne Eisenhauer had nine kills and Kate Noe put down eight for the Saints.

Courtney Johnson made 16 assists and Mallory Johnson had 11. Ella Swoish and Mya Krohn added 18 and 16 digs, respectively.

The Saints will return to action Saturday.
