
Adrian, MI – The Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey team earned a weekend split against No.1 UW-River Falls Sunday afternoon at the Arrington Ice Arena, following a 4-2 loss Saturday night. The Bulldogs scored three unanswered goals in the third period to grab the 3-1 victory. Sunday’s game marked the first loss in 40 games for UW-River Falls.
Late in the first period, the Falcons snuck a goal to take a 1-0 lead. The second period was controlled by UWRF, but nobody found the back of the net. After an Adrian College timeout halfway through a power play in the middle stages of the third period, the Bulldogs tied the game on Maya Roy shot from the point. The Bulldogs will return to action at home on Friday, December 13th when they host Milwaukee School of Engineering in a two-game NCHA conference series. Puck drop for Friday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
