Adrian, MI – The Adrian College community was silenced with news on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. The community became aware of the passing of fellow Bulldog, Katelyn Edgell. Edgell was a native of Sandy, Utah and was a freshman at Adrian College where she was a member of the women’s rugby team and women’s wrestling team.
Edgell was a member of the rugby team that competed in the NIRA Division III National Finals this past fall where the team was named the National Runner-Up. Rugby was a passion of Edgell that she found in high school where she began playing before college. For the women’s wrestling team, Edgell hadn’t wrestled in a match for Adrian College, but still enjoyed being a member of the team.
A visitation was held in Utah on December 29-30, 2023 followed by the funeral on the 30th. The Adrian College community shares our deepest condolences with the Edgell family, and all of Katelyn’s friends, teammates, and coaches.
