For the Men:
After an eventful weekend in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association, the Harris Cup Playoffs field is set. We know who is hosting Quarterfinals: Adrian and Lake Forest in the South, Marian and St. Norbert in the North. We know Trine and Aurora will be on the road in the Quarters, as will St. Scholastica and Lawrence. All that’s left to shake out is the match-ups.
*************
In the South…
Adrian – Clinched playoff spot and home ice in Quarterfinals, and controls #1 seed. Adrian holds the tie-break against Lake Forest College after sweeping their regular season series at Adrian. The Bulldog’s path to clinch the #1 seed is simple…win twice at Trine this weekend. Adrian can also clinch the #1 seed with a three point weekend vs Trine and a Lake Forest loss to Concordia University-Wisconsin.
Lake Forest – Clinched playoff spot and home ice in Quarterfinals. The lowest seed the Foresters can be is #2. They can become the #1 seed with two wins vs Concordia University-Wisconsin plus an Adrian loss or tie at Trine.
Trine – Clinched a playoff spot, and will either be the #3 or #4 seed in South. The Thunder hold the tiebreaker on Aurora University. Trine can lock the #3 seed with a win or two ties vs Adrian, or an Aurura loss or tie vs Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Aurora – Will be either #3 or #4 seed. The Spartans can move to the #3 seed if Trine gets swept by Adrian and they beat MSOE.
Teams that did not make the Harris Cup Playoffs from the South Division: Concordia University-Wisconsin and Milwaukee School of Engineering.

In the North…
Marian – Clinched playoff spot and home ice for quarterfinals, and they control the #1 seed in the North. Marion can clinch the #1 seed in North by getting two points at Finlandia University, or if St. Norbert College loss or ties Lawrence University twice. In terms of being the #1 seed of the whole tournament (would host the Harris Cup Finals), Marion would lose the potential tiebreaker against Lake Forest. The potential tiebreak with Adrian for the #1 overall seed would go to NCHA wins.
St. Norbert – Clinched playoff spot and home ice for quarterfinals. St. Norbert can jump Marion for the #1 seed in the North with two wins vs Lawrence University and a Marion loss-tie at Finlandia. The Green Knights would lose tiebreaker to Marion.
St. Scholastica – Clinched playoff spot, and will either be #3 or #4 seed in North. The Saints will be #3 seed if Lawrence University is swept by St. Norbert College next weekend. Any other result will put St. Scholastica at the #4 seed.
Lawrence – Clinched playoff spot, and can jump to the #3 seed with one win or tie vs St. Norbert.
Teams that did not make the Harris Cup Playoffs from the North Division: Finlandia University.

For the Women:
St. Scholastica joined Adrian, Lake Forest and Aurora in the Slaats Cup Playoffs field after the results from Saturday in the NCHA. Two spots are left as we look toward the second-to-last weekend. St. Norbert is now in control of the #5 seed and can clinch a postseason berth with one point next weekend at Adrian. Concordia Wisconsin controls the #6 seed and can lock a playoff berth up with two points at Finlandia.
Adrian – Clinched playoff spot and home ice for First Round. There are several ways to clinch the regular season championship and overall #1 seed next weekend. The most simple of which is to beat Saint Norbert. If it comes down to a tiebreak scenario, the Bulldogs would win 3-way tie with LFC and AU. If AC ties with Lake Forest College, the tiebreak criteria would move to NCHA wins.
Aurora – Clinched playoff spot, and has the inside track to the #2 seed and home ice for the First Round. The Spartans can clinch home ice several ways, including this weekend against Saint Scholastica… with two wins or a win and tie.
Lake Forest – Clinched playoff spot … Controls #3 seed and home ice for First Round … Several ways to clinch home ice for First Round next weekend, including two wins at Marion plus two St. Scholastica losses or a loss and tie vs Aurora University.
St. Scholastica – Clinched playoff spot. They control the #4 seed in the tournament and can finish as high as #2 seed.
St. Norbert – Controls #5 seed, and there are several ways to clinch a playoff spot next weekend, including one point at Adrian.
Concordia Wisconsin – Controls #6 seed. The Falcons can clinch a playoff spot next weekend, including two points at Finlandia.
