Adrian, MI – These are the Lenawee County stories from Monday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update…

The 4th Annual Clinton Redwolf Invitational took place over the weekend.

On the boys side… Clinton’s Wyatt Dehring won the 100 and 200 meter runs. Noah Sills, from Blissfield, won the 3200 meter run. Blissfield’s Skyler Kimple won both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.

In the relays… Britton-Deerfield won the four-by-one hundred, Blissfield captured the four-by-two hundred, four-by-four hundred, and 4-by-eight hundred.

Morenci’s Brennen Harsh was victorious in the shot put. Britton-Deerfield’s Andrew Bunker won the discus. Skyler Kimple from Blissfield won the high jump. Clinton athletes won the Pole Vault and Long Jump…Broden Manchester and Wyatt Dehring.

On the girls side of the Clinton Redwolf Invitational…

Hudson’s Naika Rath won the 100, 200, and 400 meter runs. Blissfield’s Hope Miller took care of the distance races, taking the 800, 1600 and 3200.

De’Mya Gibbons, from Blissfield, won the 110 meter hurdles. Royals jumper Leigh Wyman won the 300 meter hurdles.

Blissfield and Clinton girls split results in the four relay races. Hudson’s Ellie Loar won the shot put, De’Mya Gibbons from Blissfield won the discus, and Clinton’s Bella Bannon won the high jump.

Clinton’s Khloie Miller won the pole vault and Brooklynn Slovacek from Morenci won the long jump event.

The Adrian College football team announced its 2026 schedule over the weekend at the 2nd Annual Football Bash.

The Bulldogs are slated to play four home games this season, including three MIAA contests. Adrian finished the 2025 campaign with an 8-2 record…barely missing postseason play.

The Bulldogs will open the season at home on September 5th, hosting Ohio Northern University. Adrian will then embark on a three-game road stretch, traveling to Thiel (teal) College before facing Mount St. Joseph.

Adrian opens conference play on the road at Alma College… then will return to AC for Homecoming on October 3rd, hosting Calvin University.

Following the bye week October 10th, Adrian travels to Hope College before returning home to host Trine University. After back-to-back road games at The University of Olivet and Albion College, the Bulldogs will close out the regular season on Senior Day November 14th against Kalamazoo College.

The Adrian College baseball team completed the series on the road with Calvin University over the weekend.

The 25th ranked Bulldogs completed the series sweep by a 19-6 margin in eight innings. The Bulldogs improve to 17-6 on the season and sit 5-2 in MIAA play.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its NCAA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist for the 2026 season.

Representing the Adrian College softball team, outfielder Taylor Gerhardt was named a player to watch. The Pataskala, Ohio native is currently in her junior season with the Bulldogs.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team came up just short in a tightly contested conference battle on Saturday afternoon, falling to Hope College, 12-11, at home.

Jenna Allie and Mariana Miller paced the Bulldogs offensively with four goals apiece, with Miller adding two assists for a team-high six points. Abby Malone contributed two goals and two assists, while Madeline Turcotte added a goal and three assists.

Bella Norton made nine saves in goal for the Bulldogs. Adrian moves to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

AC’s next conference matchup will be at St. Mary’s on Tuesday night.

The Adrian College men’s volleyball team dropped a three-set MCVL contest to Baldwin Wallace over the weekend, falling 3-0 on the road.

Dominic Rees led the Bulldogs offensively with nine kills, while Sam Landers added six kills and eight points. Carson Bell turned in an efficient performance with five kills on five attempts.

Andrew Graczyk dished out 13 assists to pace the Adrian offense. The Bulldogs concluded their season at 11-13 overall and 3-6 in conference play.

The Adrian College women’s rugby team finished fourth place at the Wolverine 7’s Tournament, finishing 1-4 on the day.

The Bulldogs fell to Ohio State twice, Northern Iowa, and the University of Michigan. AC defeated Indiana University.

Jersey Wilson led the offense with four tries on the day, while Madisyn McDonald added four conversions on the day. Theo Marsh added a try for the Bulldogs.

Adrian will be back in action April 19th, when they head out to Frostburg State University.

The Adrian College men’s lacrosse team battled throughout but fell to Trine, 7-5, on Saturday afternoon at Docking Stadium on senior day.

Tecumseh grad Trace Tidswell and Austin Selvage led the Bulldogs offensively with two goals apiece, while David Harrison added a goal and an assist. In net, Josiah Karnehm made 15 saves for Adrian.

Adrian will look to bounce back as it continues conference play Wednesday, as they host Alma College at 7PM.

The Adrian College NCAA softball team traveled to No. 2 Trine University on Friday afternoon for an MIAA conference doubleheader. The Bulldogs dropped both contests, 15-5 and 28-4, to fall to 11-13 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

Adrian will look to bounce back on Tuesday, when it hosts Alma College for an MIAA doubleheader beginning at 3p.m.

The American Collegiate Hockey Association announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2026 on Friday afternoon.

Representing the Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 hockey program, 2018 Bulldog alumnus Austyn Roudebush was named to the ACHA Hall of Fame. Roudebush played for the Bulldogs from 2014-18, spending his entire collegiate career in goal for Adrian.

He was a two-time ACHA All-American, the Men’s Division 1 National Tournament MVP in 2018, and the Player of the Year in 2018. That same season, he backstopped the Bulldogs to their first ACHA Division 1 National Championship.

Roudebush finished his Adrian career with a 61-5-4 record in net and a .941 save percentage. He also posted a 1.51 goals-against average and recorded 17 shutouts, including two in the National Tournament.

According to the ACHA Hall of Fame, Roudebush becomes the 17th player inducted and the first in Adrian College program history.

The Siena Heights men’s lacrosse team recently lost to Michigan-Dearborn, 14-4, in WHAC action.

Sean Jablonski led the SHU attack with two goals and one assist. Dylan Vazquez added a goal and an assist. Braden Conn had one goal. In goal, Alyx Walker totaled 16 saves.
