The American Heartland Bowling Association recently hosted their Singles Invitational at Lenawee Rec in Adrian.
Five members of the Adrian College bowling program competed in the event, including two from the men’s team and three from the women’s team.
The women were led by Victoria McLaughlin, Alina Wilgus, and Mara Knochs.
Wilgus made a run to the semifinal round. Austin Garcia and Matthew Daniels competed on the men’s side for the Bulldogs.
The AHBA Singles Invitational marked the final competition of the 2025-26 season for the Adrian College bowling program.

D3baseball.com released its Week 5 National Poll earlier this week, with the Adrian College NCAA baseball team checking in at Number 22… slipping one spot from last week.
The Bulldogs are coming off a strong week, winning four consecutive games to extend their current winning streak to five. Adrian earned a 9-3 road victory over Heidelberg University before completing a three-game sweep of Wabash College over the weekend.
With the recent success, Adrian improves to 11-4 on the season as it prepares to open MIAA conference play.
The Bulldogs have their home opener at 3pm this afternoon against The College of Wooster.

With the indoor season complete, the MIAA released its preseason rankings for the upcoming outdoor season.
The Adrian College men’s and women’s track and field teams both come in at fifth in the preseason poll, matching or improving upon their indoor finishes.

The American Hockey Coaches Association announced the finalists for the Edward Jeremiah Award. Adrian College NCAA men’s hockey head coach Adam Phillips was named one of 13 finalists for the honor.
In his second season with the Bulldogs, Phillips guided Adrian to a 20-7-1 overall record, including a 14-3-1 mark in NCHA play. The Bulldogs captured the NCHA Peters Cup, earning the top seed in the Harris Cup Playoffs. During the 2025-26 campaign, Phillips led a turnaround in the conference standings, improving Adrian from a fourth-place finish in 2024-25 to NCHA champions this season.
Phillips was also named NCHA Coach of the Year. Through two seasons at Adrian, Phillips holds a career record of 38-17-2.
The only Adrian College coach to previously receive the Edward Jeremiah Award was Adam Krug, who earned the honor during the 2021-22 season after leading the Bulldogs to a national championship.

College Sports Communicators announced the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team for NCAA Division III men’s and women’s basketball on Tuesday.
The Adrian College men’s basketball team placed three student-athletes on the list, while the women’s team earned four selections.
Representing the Adrian College men’s basketball team are Seth Logan, Luke Rager, and Noah Vanlaningham. On the women’s side, Aubrie Ickes, Darby Lienerth, Hannah Lisch, and Ava Schultz were recognized.
All CSC Academic All-District honorees will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, where selections will be made based on a combination of academic and athletic achievements.

The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL announced the signing of Sebastian Smith on Monday afternoon. Smith joins the organization after a standout five-year career with the Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 hockey team, where he served as team captain for two seasons.
