The Tecumseh Indians girls basketball team brought their 2024-25 Division 2 state champion defense back to the Breslin Center on Saturday, losing the title game to Goodrich, 55-44.

The 21st-ranked Adrian College baseball team completed its three game road sweep of Wabash College on Sunday.

The Bulldogs picked up a 6-2 win on Sunday, following 5-2 and 8-3 wins on Saturday.

Jack Boike and Rolando Jimenez each had two hits Sunday. Hudson native Ambrose Horwath earned his fourth win of the season against zero losses.

Edward Bieniasz and Parker Faris secured wins on Saturday.

11-4 Adrian College baseball will have their home opener Wednesday at 4pm at Nicolay Field against The College of Wooster.

The Adrian College softball team split two games on the road against Franklin College on Saturday, winning game one 5-2 and dropping game two 12-6.

Karsyn Malinich and Abbie Hoff launched home runs in game one. Avery Clark earned her fifth win of the season after tossing a complete game.

The 10-10 Bulldogs will open up at home on Wednesday against Heidelberg University at 3:30 PM for a doubleheader.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team dropped a 17-11 decision on the road to Kenyon on Saturday afternoon, dropping their record to 5-2.

The Bulldogs were led offensively by Madeline Turcotte, with six goals and two assists. Kacie Woodall added four points on two goals and two assists, while Abby Malone chipped in two goals. Mariana Miller rounded out the scoring with a goal and two assists.

Defensively, goalkeeper Bella Norton recorded 13 saves. AC will look to bounce back in its next contest Wednesday at home versus Augustina at 4PM.

The Adrian College men’s volleyball team secured a conference victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, sweeping the Lions in straight sets, 25-14, 26-24, and 25-21. Prior to the match, Adrian honored its 2026 Senior Class.

Sam Landers led Adrian with 11 kills, followed by nine from Marc Solans and seven from Dominic Rees. At the net, Carson Bell, David Cauley, and William Morris each recorded four blocks.

Marco Gomez paced the defense with 11 digs, while Garrett Leaver dished out 14 assists and Andrew Graczyk added 11.

With the win, Adrian improves to 9-11 overall and 2-4 in MCVL play. The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, traveling to Hiram College for a non-conference match at 7 p.m.

The American Hockey Coaches Association announced the NCAA Division III Player of the Year finalists for men’s and women’s hockey, and two Adrian College Bulldogs are up for the awards.

Ian Amsbaugh was named a finalist for the Sid Watson Award and Riley Johnson earned a spot as a finalist for the Laura Hurd Award.

Amsbaugh, a senior from Bottineau, North Dakota, was named the NCHA Player of the Year and finished the season with a team-high 49 points. He led the nation in total assists and assists per game, while also topping the country in total points and ranking third in points per game.

Johnson, a senior from Farmington, Michigan was named NCHA Co-Player of the Year and led the team with 54 points. She ranks third nationally in total points and fourth in points per game, while also placing third in assists and assists per game. Additionally, Johnson ranks sixth in the nation in goals and seventh in goals per game.

The winners of both awards will be announced at the NCAA Division III Frozen Four banquets.

The Port Huron Prowlers of the FPHL announced the signing of Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 hockey standout Justin Jamer.

He recently concluded his senior season with the Bulldogs, serving as a team captain and helping lead Adrian to a National Championship runner-up finish in 2025-26.

Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 hockey alumnus Braidan Simmons-Fischer signed a professional try-out contract with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

Simmons-Fischer played one season with the Bulldogs in 2024-25 after transferring from NCAA Division 1 St. Thomas, Minnesota. The Iowa Wild serve as the AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild.

With his debut, Simmons-Fischer became the first player in Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 program history to compete in the AHL.

The Siena Heights baseball team split a WHAC doubleheader with Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at McLaughlin Field.

The Saints won game one, 6-5. Mason Mitchell batted 3-for-3 with three runs, including the game-winner.

SHU lost game two, 21-4. Jimmy Haranczak batted 2-for-2 with a run and RBI while Zander Zeiter went 2-for-3 with a double.

Saints baseball dropped two to Cornerstone, 7-3 and 25-1. Eddie Ramos hit a two-run homer and Mason Baer had an RBI double for SHU’s in game one.
