A trip to Michigan State University’s Breslin Center is on the line tonight, with Tecumseh and Morenci girls basketball finding themselves in the Quarterfinal Round of their respective divisions.
In Division Two, the Indians will face Carleton Airport at Chelsea High School at 7pm. The game will be broadcast on 96.5 The Cave with John Koehn on the call.
In Division Four, the Bulldogs will take on Kingston at West Bloomfield High School at 6pm. That game will be on 103.9 WLEN with Jeff Bowman on the call.
If Morenci wins tonight, they will play in the semifinals on Thursday. If Tecumseh wins tonight, their semifinals would be Friday in East Lansing.

The Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 Hockey Team will play for the national championship against rival Ohio University after defeating defending national champion University of Nevada-Las Vegas Monday night in overtime, 3-2.
Bulldog captain Sebastian Smith scored the winner 3:22 into the extra frame. Peyton Trzaska was spectacular in goal for AC, stopping 41 of 43 shots in the contest.
The ‘Dawgs will play for the National Championship for the third straight season. Puck drop at 9pm tonight in St. Louis.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced the Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon.
The Adrian College Bulldogs earned four MIAA Athlete of the Week honors including Abby Malone of the Adrian College women’s lacrosse team, and Taylor Gerhardt of the softball team.
Sophomore midfielder Abby Malone led the Bulldogs defensively in their contest against Otterbein, helping Adrian rally from a 5–11 deficit to force overtime at 13–13. Malone recorded six ground balls and a caused turnover while also contributing a goal and an assist. She currently ranks third in the conference with 3.8 ground balls per game.
Junior outfielder Taylor Gerhardt helped lead the Bulldogs to a 5–3 week, anchoring Adrian’s offense and defense against top regional opponents. Gerhardt went 24-for-35 at the plate with eight stolen bases, two doubles, two home runs, and five RBIs. She currently leads the MIAA with 69 at-bats, 30 runs, 40 hits, 54 total bases, a .618 on-base percentage, and 24 stolen bases.

The Adrian College Figure Skating team traveled to the University of Wisconsin-Madison over the weekend, and won the ‘Skate on Wisconsin’ event.
This competition solidified the bulldogs qualifying for the National Intercollegiate Final in Salt Lake City, Utah from April 10-12th.

Adrian College Athletic Director Craig Rainey announced a change in leadership for the men’s rugby program, as the college has parted ways with head coach Christopher Hathaway.
Hathaway joined Adrian College rugby during the 2023-24 academic year, serving as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs. He was later promoted to head coach of the women’s team before transitioning into the role of head coach for the men’s rugby program.
Adrian College will begin a search for its next men’s rugby head coach immediately.
