
Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania – The Adrian College NCAA Women’s Hockey team will play in the national tournament first round Saturday afternoon at 3pm against Wilkes University.
The two programs are facing each other for the first time ever, with a trip to the quarterfinal on the line. 96.5 The Cave will broadcast the contest, with Ian Wendt on the call. Here’s what to know before the game:

The 2026 NCAA Tournament is the second all-time appearance by Wilkes University, reaching the first round in 2025.
For Adrian College, the 2026 Tournament is the 9th in the program’s history: 2024 (Frozen 4), 2023, 2020 (Tournament Canceled COVID-19), 2019 (Frozen 4), 2018, 2017 (Runner-Up), 2016, and 2011.

Adrian College- The Bulldogs offense is one of the most lethal in D3 women’s college hockey, earning top 10 ratings in every major statistic (NCAA Ranks: 3rd in goals per game, 4th in power play percentage, 2nd in goals, 3rd in assists, and 2nd in points).
Riley Johnson paces Adrian in points this season with 23 goals, 31 assists, and 54 points. Paige Pomerleau (23-20-43), Courtney Ben (25-16-41), and Emma Simon (9-31-40) also tallied 40-plus points on the season. In goal for the Bulldogs, Kiera Stack has put together an impressive sophomore campaign (1.27 goals against average, 94.6 save percentage, 21-5 record, and 8 shutouts). Adrian College won the NCHA regular season and conference tournament championship, earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Wilkes University- The Colonels are led in points by Haylee Bouchard 17 goals-36 assits-53 points. Nina Hudakova had a productive season as well, netting 22 goals and earning 24 assists. Renee Ng (19 goals – 7 assists – 26 points) and Jordan Ferry (10-15-25) rounded out the leaderboard statistically for Wilkes. The Colonels goalie, Audrey Milne, has compiled impressive stats as well (1.18 goals against average, 94.6 save percentage, 20-1-1 record, 8 shutouts).
Wilkes University captured the MAC regular season and conference tournament championship, earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Wilkes also boasts a high-powered offense (NCAA Ranks: 2nd in goals per game, 10th in power play percentage, 4th in goals, 4th in assists, and 4th in points).
