The 20th-ranked Adrian College baseball team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 10-2 road win over Receiving-Votes University of Mount Union over the weekend.
Edward Bieniasz got the start on the hill for the Bulldogs, tossing seven innings allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits with eight strikeouts. Ambrose Horwath pitched two innings in relief where he allowed one hit.
Nic Bruder, Brendan Willadsen, Jake Burns, and Gabe Jones all finished the game with two hits. Jones led the team with three RBIs.
Adrian heads to Montgomery, Alabama, to begin its Spring Break trip. The Bulldogs will face Number 25 East Texas Baptist University on Saturday.

The Adrian College track and field teams took a short trip to Hillsdale College to compete in the Hillsdale Tune-Up meet in hopes of making final preparations before the MIAA Conference Championship meet this weekend.
On the men’s side, Jaymes Vines put up an impressive performance, winning both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash. Cal Delise finished 3rd in the 200-meter dash.
On the women’s side, Alysia Townsend had a day to remember. She placed 2nd in the 60-meter dash, setting a personal record.
That wouldn’t be all for her, as she went on to win the 200-meter dash in a new indoor school-record time that has stood since 2019.
The Bulldogs’ next meet is the MIAA Indoor Conference Championships, held at Trine University on Friday and Saturday.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team hosted the Adrian Futures event Saturday afternoon. No team scores were recorded, but several Bulldogs turned in strong individual performances.
Calob Heilman claimed first place at 174 pounds. At 184 pounds, Patrick Knight secured a third-place finish.
The Bulldogs return to action Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by John Carroll University.

The Adrian College Acrobatics & Tumbling team dropped its dual meet to Concordia University Wisconsin over the weekend.
The Bulldogs will be back in action March 11th for their home opener against East Texas Baptist and Calvin.

The Adrian College men’s basketball team played host to Albion College on Saturday afternoon for their final conference game of the regular season. This game served as Senior Day for the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs unfortunately fell to the Brits, 103–94.
Luke Rager led the ‘Dawgs with 22 points. Darrius Welch poured in 21, and Seth Logan scored 21.
The Bulldogs have officially claimed the 6th seed for the MIAA Tournament and will travel to Calvin University for Quarterfinal round action Tuesday at 7pm.

The Adrian College women’s wrestling team turned in a strong showing at the NCAA Regional Championship, placing sixth out of 18 teams.
Adrian was powered by four top-five finishes, highlighted by a runner-up performance at 117 pounds from Carleigh Czerneski. At 180 pounds, Mia Gaetjens earned a third-place finish.
The pair just secured their ticket to the first ever NCAA Women’s National Championship, making history for the Bulldogs in being the first to ever qualify for the official NCAA championship as they secured championship status this last year.
Adrian will now turn its attention to the national collegiate women’s wrestling championship in early March in Coralville, Iowa.

The Adrian College women’s lacrosse team continued its strong start to the season Saturday, rolling to a 20-3 victory over MSOE inside the Sweebe Indoor Center.
Adrian improves to 2-0 on the year with the win after a dominant possession game to overwhelm the Raiders.
Kacie Woodall paced the offense with six goals and one assist, while Madeline Turcotte finished with five goals and three assists. Mariana Miller recorded three goals and one assist, and Allie Jenna added three goals of her own.
The Bulldog women’s lacrosse team will be back in action Saturday as they take a trip down to Lake Wales, Florida for spring break. They will face New College of Florida Saturday afternoon.

The Siena Heights women’s wrestling team wrapped up its final season at the Mid‑South Conference Women’s Wrestling Championships.
Aveona Edwards placed sixth for the Saints at 103 pounds. She scored 6.5 team points, giving Siena Heights its highest individual placement of the tournament.

The Siena Heights women’s track and field team delivered a championship‑level weekend at the WHAC Indoor Championships, highlighted by two conference titles, multiple scoring performances on the track, and a pair of NAIA standards in the field events.
Senior Emma Valentine brought home the program’s first WHAC title of the meet, winning the high jump.
The second WHAC champion came from Emma Steward in the pole vault.
Freshman Savannah Richmond put together a breakout distance double, placing 3rd in the 3,000 and taking 2nd in the 5,000.
Middle‑distance strength continued with the 4×800 relay adding a 4th‑place finish.
In the triple jump, senior Terria Fisher claimed another WHAC title‑caliber performance, finishing 1st.

The Siena Heights baseball team lost four games to Midway over the weekend… 16-15 in 10 innings, 11-1, 11-6, and 7-3.

Despite a dominant scoring performance from senior guard Ty’Veonna Davis, Siena Heights couldn’t overcome a decisive third quarter by Lourdes, falling 69–60 in WHAC play.
Davis scored 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including four three‑pointers, while adding nine rebounds, two steals and a block.
SHU will face Aquinas College on the road in the quarterfinal round of the WHAC women’s basketball tournament Wednesday night.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team made a furious late push and climbed within a single possession in the final minutes, but Lourdes answered each surge and held on for a 67–62 win on Saturday in the final men’s basketball game in SHU history.
The Saints were led by Nick Sobush with 15 points. Jasiah Rainey turned in a strong performance with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
SHU ends their final season 8-20 overall and 4-18 in WHAC play.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon, and Adrian College had five honorees recognized.
Alysia Townsend and Ian Kramp represented the track and field team, Madeline Turcotte earned honors for women’s lacrosse, and Edward Bieniasz and Jake Burns were recognized from the baseball team.

The Adrian College bass fishing team delivered an impressive performance on Lake Seminole late last week, placing three boats in the top 10. The Bulldogs secured first-, fifth-, and eighth-place finishes to qualify three duos for the 2027 MLF National Championship.
Braylon Eggerding and Brady Pinwar led the way with a first-place finish, hauling in a tournament-best 28.01 pounds, highlighted by a nine-pound bass.
In addition to earning a bid to the 2027 MLF National Championship, Eggerding and Pinwar brought home a $2,000 check for the Adrian College bass fishing program.
The Bulldogs return to action on March 13th, when they travel to Alabama.

The Adrian College figure skating team traveled to Texas A&M University over the weekend to compete at the ‘Lone Star Skate.’
Adrian placed 1st out of 24 teams, competing against the likes of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University. The next event will take place at the ‘Skate on Wisconsin’ competition in Madison on March 13th.

The Adrian College ACHA Men’s Division 1 hockey team is once again GL6 Tournament Champion. The Bulldogs defeated Calvin University, 4-1, in a rematch of last season’s GL6 Conference Tournament Championship game to claim their 10th conference tournament title in program history.
The Bulldogs return home on Thursday, when they host Indiana Tech at 7:30 p.m. in their final game before the ACHA Men’s Division 1 National Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.

Siena Heights men’s bowler Logan Cook was named All-WHAC Second Team, as announced by the league.
Cook was ninth-best among all men’s bowlers at WHAC events in 2025-26.
He was also selected to the Academic All-WHAC Team along with teammates Cooper Greuling, Paul Scheuher, Jack Sisco and Andrew Warsecke.
Scheuher was also named to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.

Courtney Ben, a senior on the NCAA women’s team, found the back of the net three times in Adrian’s 6-1 victory over Trine University in their conference quarterfinals. Her coach, Chad Davis, talked about her scoring and leadership…
The NCAA women’s hockey team will host Lake Forest College in the NCHA semifinals Saturday at 7pm, while the men’s team will battle Aurora University on home ice Saturday at 3pm.
Both games will be aired on 96.5 The Cave with Ian Wendt on the call.
