Adrian, MI – Below are the Lenawee County highlights from Thursday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update…

The Blissfield Royals boys bowling team captured their second consecutive Regional Championship on Wednesday.

Jon Cheney rolled a 268 in the individual portion, while Alex Kudlac provided a 232.

​The Royals return to the lanes for the individual qualifier, where the top seven bowlers will earn the right to compete as individuals at the state level next week.

The Blissfield Royals girls basketball team celebrated a fourth consecutive Lenawee County Athletic Association championship after their recent win against Madison.

Blissfield has been victorious in 58 straight LCAA games, with two left on the schedule this season. Royals head coach Ryan Gilbert talked about this year’s team and what they were able to accomplish under enormous amounts of pressure…

The Adrian College men’s basketball team fell on the road to the University of Olivet, 89-73. Curtis Dell led the Bulldogs with 17 points off the bench. Darrius Welch and Seth Logan each had 15.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team closed out its home schedule for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday night with an 80-59 victory over The University of Olivet.

Aubree Ickes finished with a team-high 16 points to go along with eight rebounds. Sophia Bussell added 14 points, while Ashlyn Moorehead totaled 13 points and dished out five assists. Here is head coach, Sam Miller after the win…

 

The Bulldogs remain one back of the final MIAA Tournament spot and will look to secure a postseason berth in its regular-season finale on Saturday at Albion College.

The Adrian College men’s lacrosse team dropped a 14–8 decision to Ohio Northern University on Wednesday afternoon at Sweebe Family Athletic Center.

The Bulldogs men’s lacrosse team will hit the road for the first time this season to The College of Wooster Saturday.

Siena Heights women’s pole vaulter Emma Stewart was named WHAC Women’s Indoor Track and Field Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season.

Stewart won the pole vault at the Centre Invitational and Multis…as she remains the number one vaulter in the NAIA.

The Siena Heights women’s basketball team picked up a huge rivalry win on the road against Indiana Tech, 84-82 in overtime.

Ty’Veonna Davis led the Saints with 28 points. Jam Thigpen had 19 for SHU, and Kanyla Tyler chipped in 14. An explosive fourth quarter saw the Saints outscore the Warriors, 30-20.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team fell to Indiana Tech, 81-59. Jack Olis led the Saints with 16, Nick Sobush added 14, and Jonas Tester chipped-in 12 for Siena Heights.
