
Adrian, MI – The 2025-26 Adrian College NCAA hockey teams won their Northern Collegiate Hockey Association regular season championships over the weekend, with the men’s team winning the Peters Cup Friday night and the women’s team taking the Kronschnabel Cup Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs were in the drivers seat heading into the last regular season weekend of the 2025-26 campaign thanks to their series split with Concordia University-Wisconsin the week prior…which preserved AC’s 1-point advantage in the NCHA standings.
AC made quick work of the Trine University Thunder Friday, dominating their opponent, 10-0. The Bulldogs completed the sweep Saturday (Senior Day), winning 5-1. This is the program’s 10th regular season title since joinning the league in 2009-10.
Ava Mattaliano, Maddy Loe, and Paige Pomerleau all tallied first period goals. Courtney Ben and Riley Johnson scored in the third period to seal the win. Vanessa Ruban was solid in goal for the Bulldogs, stopping 13 Thunder shots.

Bulldogs Take Care of Business Friday Night to Win Peters Cup on Home Ice…
Adrian College goalie Ryan Piros picked a perfect time to have his first shut out of the season, blanking Trine University 4-0 Friday night, helping his team win the NCHA regular season title.
The Bulldogs had Patrick Saini, Jake Suede (2), and Devyn Orpana find the back of the net. The regular season championship is the school’s 15th since joining the league in 2007-08.

96.5fm The Cave has been no stranger to Adrian College postseason hockey, and this year will be no different. NCHA quarterfinal games will be Friday and Saturday at the Arrington Ice Area. The men will play Lake Forest College at 2pm both days, and the women will play Trine University at 7pm both nights. Ian Wendt will have the play-by-play.
