Adrian, MI – Here are the local stories from Friday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update:

It was the canine over the feline on Thursday, as the Summerfield Bulldogs downed the Lenawee Christian Cougars in boys basketball, 54-47. Jaxson Salenbien led LCS with 21…Dan Skrubsky had 16.

Madison boys basketball handed Onsted just their second loss on the season, defeating their LCAA foe on the road, 42-38.

Eli Hiatt paced the Trojans with 16 points. Jr. Tillman had 10 points in the win.

Onsted was led by Cole Wells and Bryson Sutherland, who scored 13 points apiece. Mason Chesser and Rylan Henagan each added 6 points.

With the loss, Onsted moves to 14–2 overall and 7–1 in LCAA play. The Wildcats are back in action Saturday at home against LCAA rival Blissfield for Homecoming.

The Adrian Maples bowling teams had split results against Pinckney. Kobe Powers was the top bowler for Adrian on the boys side, with games of 268 and 202 to lift the Maples over the Pirates 25-5.

The girls did not fare as well, dropping the match 28-2 to the Pirates. Brandi Darr had a 152 and 161 to lead Adrian.

The Hudson Tigers girls basketball team earned a home win against Coldwater Pansophia Academy, 85–3 victory.

Taylor Kopin led the Tigers with 20 points, along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Ryen Rogers added 16 points, 4 rebounds, and a steal, while Sam Anderson recorded 12 points, 2 assists, and 6 steals. Amber Williams contributed 10 points, 4 steals, and an assist.

The Lady Tigers are back in action Friday night at home for Senior Night as they host Hillsdale.

The Blissfield Royals swept the season series with Dundee on Thursday, thanks to their 29-1 victory.

Alex Kudlac and Matthew Anderson each bowled a 223. ​The second game had Alex and Matthew both over 200 again, this time with Alex throwing a 237 and Matthew with 204.

​Next up will be the 4th and final Jamboree of the season hosted by Rich Lanes this Saturday.

The Madison bowling teams swept Sand Creek on Thursday. The boys won 25-5, with highlighted rounds by Bently Richard with a 228 and Hayden Downard rolling a 213.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team traveled to Albion College for a MIAA dual on Thursday…losing 31-14 in their third conference dual of the season.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Sunday, February 1 where they will travel to the annual Whizzer Open.

The Siena Heights women’s wrestling team fell to Rochester Christian 24–20.

The Saints had wins by Arden Eschtruth, Nyveah Wendt, Cadence Wallace, and Athena Calderon.

The Siena Heights men’s wrestling team earned a 36–18 victory over Rochester Christian on Thursday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

SHU had wins by Randy Frailey, Jesus Aquino‑Morales, Christopher Sorrow, Jeff Blair, Mykale Schneider, and Malaki Mosher.
