Adrian, MI – Here are the Lenawee County highlights from Monday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update…

The Blissfield Royals boys bowling team rolled to another LCAA Jamboree victory at Ten Pin Alley in Tecumseh on Sunday.

Matthew Anderson had a 258, Collin Retter threw a 210, while Preston Iffland fired a 219.

Hudson wrestling won the Hudson Super 16, with Heartland taking 2nd, and Oxford securing 3rd.

Madison placed 31st and Sand Creek took 34th at the highly-competitive event.

Hudson had the following wrestlers place…

1st place- Royce Beal, Nicholas Sorrow, Beckett Campbell,
2nd place- Wyatt Kimble, Carson Blaker,
3rd place- Colt Perry, Prestyn Harrell, Corbyn Raper,
4th place- Owen Loop, Devon Brigman, Malachi Marshall, Connor Miller,
5th place- Jace Kimling, Cage Spaulding, Caleb Schmitt, Kash Jenkins
6th place- Chase Clark, Lucian Hepker, Zachariah Linton,

Madison had the following wrestlers place…

2nd place- Jaxton Dye, Josue Yepez,
3rd place- Jaxon Kilpatrick, Cameron Coleman, Alliance Rivera, Ander Dahms,
5th place- Hunter Kurowicki, Keiro Bradley, O’Shea Ramirez,
8th place- Paul McClure

1st place- Thomas Shanks
2nd place- Eli Shirley, Tucker Hulett
4th place- Riley Ausmus, Jackson Willeman

The Tecumseh High School Boys Swim and Dive Team competed with 6 other teams in the Dexter Invitational at the Dexter Community Pool on Saturday.

The Swim Tribe had 8 top six finishes, along with 10 PRs and 6 Season Best Times.

Top 6 finishes were achieved by:

* The 200 yard Medley Relay of Sam Warren, Carter Bortell, Loris DeFore, and Brayden DePew

* Lucas Gray in the 200 yard Individual Medley finishing 3rd

* Max Husband in the 200 Individual Medley finishing 5th with a PR time and in the 100 yard Butterfly finishing 4th with a PR time

* Sam Warren in the 50 yard Freestyle with a PR time; Trent Fahle in the Diving finishing in 2nd

* Braxton Graham in the Diving finishing 6th; and the 200 yard Freestyle Relay Team of Lucas Gray, Loris DeFore, Sam Warren, and Brayden DePew finishing 4th

PRs were also achieved by:

* Gabe Werda in the 200 yard Freestyle; Tent Fahle in the 50 yard Freestyle; Stella Maccaferri in the 50 yard Freestyle and in the 100 yard Backstroke; and Rodgrigo Valle Sanchez in the 100 yard Freestyle and 100 yard Breaststroke

Tecumseh’s next meet is against Chelsea on Thursday at The Chelsea Community Pool at 6pm.

The Adrian College men’s volleyball team competed in a pair of non-conference matches, falling to Curry College and River University…3-1 in each instance.

Sam Landers and Dominic Rees anchored the offense, with Marco Gomez highlighting the defensive effort.

The Bulldogs will be back in action Friday at North Park University at 8pm.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team fell to Trine University on Saturday afternoon at home, 68-50.

The contest was tied at the half, then the Thunder eventually pulled away.

Hannah Lisch led the Bulldogs with 16 points, Morgan Babb followed with 13 points, seven rebounds. Aubrie Ickes contributed on both ends of the floor, grabbing seven rebounds to go along with five points.

The Bulldogs will hit the road Wednesday at 7pm against Saint Mary’s College.

The Adrian College women’s wrestling turned in an impressive showing at the Western Open, finishing fourth overall out of 30 teams in a highly competitive field.

The Bulldogs were led by a trio of runner-up finishes…Carleigh Czerneski, Mason Harsch, and Aliya Conner.

Adrian’s Paige Willman and Raven Aldridge captured a third place finish. Mia Gaetjens took fourth.

The Bulldogs women’s wrestling squad will be back in action Friday and Saturday at the Indiana Tech Warrior Open.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team sent a select group of competitors to the Bruce Dickey Open this weekend, hosted by Alma College.

Leading the Bulldogs was Jordan Ovalle in the 125-pound division, where he battled his way to a fifth-place finish.

AC will be back in action on Thursday, where they will host Trine University at 7pm.

The Adrian College NCAA Women’s Hockey team swept Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponent Lake Forest over the weekend.

The Bulldogs’ 5-2 and 6-0 games were aired on 96.5 The Cave and 965 the cave dot com. Riley Johnson had 5 points this weekend, and Courtney Ben had 4. Kiera Stack did not allow a goal in five periods of work in net.

The Bulldogs are home for the next two weekends, hosting the University of Dubuque and St. Norbert College.

The Adrian College NCAA men’s hockey team swept conference foe Lake Forest College over the weekend, 6-1 and 6-2.

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend when they travel to the University of Dubuque for a two-game series.

The Adrian College men’s basketball team lost to MIAA foe Trine University on the road Saturday afternoon, 101–55.

Carson Lutz led the Bulldogs with a team-high 17 points, with Darrius Welch scoring 10 for the ‘Dawgs.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, where they will host The University of Olivet at 7pm.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team shot a blistering 62.5% from the field and got five players in double figures to outlast UM‑Dearborn 107–103 in a high‑tempo WHAC matchup Saturday.

Nick Sobush poured in a team‑high 26 points. Jonas Tester added 21 points and six rebounds, and Jack Olis delivered 22 points.

Joshua Wilson added 16 points for the Saints, while Jasiah Rainey posted 11 points and a team‑high seven rebounds.

Jam Thigpen powered the Siena Heights women’s basketball team with 21 points and 15 rebounds, delivering a double-double as the Saints defeated Michigan-Dearborn, 72-61, on Saturday.

Ty’Veonna Davis had 19 points and 10 rebounds for a double‑double of her own. Lauren DeWolf added 19 points.

After entering halftime tied 29–29, Siena Heights erupted for a 26‑4 third‑quarter surge.

Siena Heights triple jumper Calvin Randolph finished first as the Saints’ men’s indoor track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational.

Pole vaulters Cooper Bolton, Ethan Reeves and Corey Turner tied for runner-up honors.

Sprinter Logan Smith added two Top-3 finishes, going second in the 200 and third in the 60.

Devonta Habern jumped to third place in two events: the high jump and long jump.

Siena Heights pole vaulter Emma Stewart placed first with an NAIA automatic-qualifying height as the Saints’ women’s indoor track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley State Invitational.

Sister Kathryn Stewart followed in second place, while Iris Millies and Emma Wildt tied for fifth.

Emma Valentine was runner-up in the high jump. Morgan Lutton finished fourth.

Sprinter Terria Fisher had a pair of Top 5 finishes, taking third in the 200 and fifth in the 60. Akiyah Ash finished fourth in the shot put.
