The Britton-Deerfield Patriots boys basketball team downed Pittsford Wednesday night, 62-52. Anspach had 22 for BD. Roe and Fortune each scored 15 in the win.

The Hudson girls basketball team picked up their second win in as many nights Wednesday, defeating Pittsford by a score of 36–22 to improve their record to 3–3.

Taylor Kopin led the way with 11 points. Ryen Rogers and Elci Rogers each added 8 points. Macayle Grayer contributed 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.

The Tigers will host Clinton tonight.

The Lenawee Christian girls basketball team took down Colon, 57-19.

London Schmid had 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. Brynn Davis and Hattie Fansler each had 10 points

Ella Salenbien scored 24 points in Adrian girls basketball team’s 62-40 win over Ann Arbor Green Hills on Wednesday night.

Amor Sanchez scored 16 for the Maples, while Tatum Borton contributed 15.

The Clinton and Blissfield boys bowling teams battled in a close one at Rich Lanes…with the Redwolves besting the Royals, 169 to 164.

Notable bowlers for Blissfield were: Preston Iffland, Alex Kudlac, and Jon Cheney. The Redwolves travel to Hudson to take on the Tigers today.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team dropped a 78-56 decision to Rochester Christian in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play Wednesday night.

Joshua Wilson and Jack Olis shared team-high honors with 13 points apiece, while Nick Sobush chipped in eight points and George Kalatzis added six off the bench.

The Adrian College men’s basketball team opened MIAA play in impressive fashion at home on Wednesday, earning a convincing 77–55 victory over Kalamazoo College.

Darrius Welch led the Bulldogs offensively with a team-high 21 points, adding six rebounds and two blocks. Seth Logan followed with 16 points, while Jeremiah Dallas reached double figures with 12 points.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, where they will host Calvin University. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 PM.

The Siena Heights women’s basketball team fell 61-50 to Rochester Christian in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday night.

Lauren DeWolf finished with a team-high 13 points, hitting three 3-pointers, while Ty’Veonna Davis added 13 points and seven rebounds. Jam Thigpen anchored the paint with nine points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team traveled to Kalamazoo College on Wednesday night for an MIAA matchup and came up just short in a heartbreaking 66–65 loss that was decided in the final seconds.

Adrian knocked down key shots late in the fourth quarter to tie the game and force overtime. In overtime, the Bulldogs grabbed a late lead, but a costly turnover allowed Kalamazoo to capitalize, scoring with under ten seconds remaining. Adrian had one final opportunity to reclaim the lead, but the last-second attempt fell short.

Morgan Babb led the Bulldogs with 18 points, adding six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Hannah Lisch followed with 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals, while Aubrie Ickes reached double figures with 10 points to go along with five rebounds, two blocks, and two steals.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 10 where they will make a trip to Calvin University at 3PM.

The Adrian College NCAA Women’s Hockey team is ranked inside the top ten of the Division Three coach’s poll, but are just inside the the top 20 in the Computer Rankings.

The Bulldogs nearly took-down Top-Five ranked Amherst over the weekend, but lost a lead late and fell in the contest, 3-1.

AC features a young roster this year, with just four seniors and four juniors on the squad. Two of the seniors were recent guests on the AC All-Access Show…aired on 96.5 The Cave… and talked about leadership.

The Bulldogs are off this weekend, but will be on the road next week as they travel to Lake Forest, Illinois.
