The Lenawee Christian girls basketball team defeated Hillsdale Academy Monday, 52-42.
Brynn Davis led the Cougars with 16 points, and Ava Feick poured in 12.

The Hudson Girls Basketball team opened their season on the road, losing to Fayette, Ohio, 60-48.
Taylor Kopin led the Tigers with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Macayle Grayer had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. Sam Anderson and Maci Godfrey each had 8 points for Hudson.
The Tigers return to action Thursday at 6 p.m. for their home opener against the Jackson Area Home Educators.

The Morenci Bulldogs girls basketball team opened up the season with a 58-25 victory over Concord.
Leading the way for the bulldogs was Emersyn Bachelder with 27 points and 5 steals. Colbie Ekins knocked down 14 points to go with 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 assists. Evelyn Joughin added 10 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.
Addyson Valentine chipped in 4 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists for the Bulldogs.
Morenci will be back in action on Thursday, hosting Whiteford.

The Madison boys and girls bowling teams took two wins from LCAA foe Clinton on Monday at Ten Pin in Tecumseh.
The Trojan boys were paced by Braden Beal with a 245 and 220. Raymond Ayling had a 204 and 198. Bently Richard fired a 244 and 184.
The Madison girls were led by Vanessa Underwood with a 182 and 169. Angie Alvarez had a 155. The boys won 18.5 to 11.5. The girls won 25-5.

The Blissfield bowling team took down Hillsdale, 28 to 2. Some notable Individual results included:
Alex Kudlac rolled a 246, Collin Retter rolled a 228 and 220, Cash Moore had a 233, Matthew Anderson fired a 223, and Jon Cheney rolled a 209 for Blissfield.
Next up for the Royals is a match against Ida at the Monroe Sports Center on Wednesday.

Calvin Randolph and Kolby Masserant had Top-3 finishes to lead the Siena Heights men’s indoor track and field team as it opened its season at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Invitational.
Randolph was third in the triple jump and Masserant took third in the heptathlon and third in the pole vault.

The Adrian College synchronized skating teams traveled to Ann Arbor for the 29th annual Dr. Porter Classic over the weekend.
The Open Collegiate team started off the weekend earning 5th place out of 8 teams.
The Collegiate team finished off the day with their freeskate earning a pewter medal, out of 10 teams. This was a 19 point increase from the Boston Classic, and the second highest freeskate score in Adrian history.

Adrian College men’s wrestler Aiden Smith was a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Athlete of the Week. Smith and the Bulldogs competed at the prestigious Messiah-Petrofes Invitational, where the senior controlled the 157-pound weight class with a perfect 5-0 performance.
The Bulldogs travel to Heidelberg University for the Berg Holiday Duals on Saturday.

The latest USCHO and D3HockeyNews national polls were released Monday afternoon, with the Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey team earning the number nine ranking.
The Bulldogs enter the week at 8-2 overall. Adrian is coming off a dominant NCHA road sweep of MSOE, posting 10-1 and 5-1 victories over the weekend.
The NCAA men’s team climbed to Number 2 in the country for the second time this season. The Bulldogs enter the week with an 8-2 overall record after sweeping Milwaukee School of Engineering 5-2 and 6-3.
Two different Bulldogs scored three goals during the weekend sweep…Patrick Saini and Frank Tafeseki. Their coach, Adam Phillips, had this to say about their performances…

College Sports Communicators announced its 30 Under 30 Class of 2025, naming 30 of the nation’s top collegiate athletic communicators under the age of 30 to its recipient’s list…which included Adrian College’s Sports Information Director Mike Prang.
The annual honor recognizes emerging athletics communications professionals at all levels of college sports in strategic, creative, and digital spaces.
The 28-year old from Illinois attended Loras College in Iowa, where he studied Sport Management. Prang graduated in the Fall of 2019 and joined the Bulldogs’ Athletic Communications staff later that year.
He was promoted to the head Sports Information Director role in March 2021. Prang will be honored at the 2026 CSC Convention in Las Vegas.
