A few Lenawee County wrestlers took home titles from the Blissfield Invitational over the weekend.
Addison’s Trevor Ohm won the 113-pound weight class. Madison’s Paul McClure took the 138-pound title. Miles Seiser from Blissfield won the 190-pound weight class.
Dundee had wins from Max and Benjamin Motylinski. Saline picked up wins from Brice LaFleur, Jacob Clauser, and Jericoh Powe.
Manchester did well in Blissfield, with wins by Sammy Stewart, Vince Budd, Blake Sloan, and JC Amrhein.
Phineas Tolton from St. Mary Catholic Central and Brady Waner from Napoleon also picked up wins this weekend.

The Adrian Maples boys basketball team built a big half time lead at Madison, and held on for a 60-52 win on Friday.
Jaxon Francis led the Maples with 28 points. Cole Grof had 12 to pace the Trojans.
The 2-0 Adrian Maples play Jackson Northwest Tuesday at home.

The Onsted boys basketball team grabbed a gritty 52-43 win at Quincy.
Cole Wells turned in a double-double performance with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Rylan Henagan also added 11 points to pace the offense. Senior Mason Chesser contributed 10 points.
With the win, Onsted improves to 2–0 on the season. The Wildcats return home Tuesday for an LCAA showdown with Hudson.

Siena Heights pole vaulter Emma Stewart won with an NAIA automatic-qualifying mark and sister Kathryn Stewart recorded a provisional in the event as the Siena Heights women’s indoor track and field team opened its season Friday at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Invitational.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team fell behind in the first half, and could not complete the comeback against Defiance on Saturday, dropping the WHAC contest, 61-55.
Nick Sobush led Siena Heights with 17 points and four steals, while George Kalatzis added 15 points and a highlight dunk late in the first half. Jonas Tester chipped in 11 points for SHU.
The Saints will return to play at Cleary on Saturday, December 13th.

The Adrian College NCAA men’s hockey team swept the Milwaukee School of Engineering at home this weekend, winning 5-2 Saturday and 6-3 on Saturday. 103.9fm WLEN carried the Friday game, while 96.5fm The Cave had the Saturday contest.
Second year head coach Adam Phillips talked about the two conference victories after the Saturday contest. He said his team played better on day two of the series…
Patrick Saini and Frank Tafelski each had a three-goal weekend for the Bulldogs, who will stay at home to take-on Hiram College Friday and Saturday.

The Adrian College NCAA women’s hockey team swept the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders on the road, winning 10-1 Friday and 5-1 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs have won 8 straight games, which have all been league contests. Reiley Johnson and Paige Pomerleau each had three goals in Milwaukee.
The Bulldogs hit the road for a non-conference test in Minnesota, where they will face tenth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus on Friday.

The Adrian College men’s basketball team traveled to Denison University on Saturday for a non-conference matchup, falling short 86–73.
Seth Logan and Carson Lutz led Adrian with 14 points apiece.
The Bulldogs are back in action this weekend, where they will head to Chicago, Illinois for a two-game road stint with Dominican University and Concordia University Chicago.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team traveled to Alma College on Saturday for a conference matchup, falling 62–53.
Hannah Lish led the Bulldogs with 21 points. Morgan Babb posted a season-high 15 rebounds to go along with nine points and three assists. Aubrie Ickes reached double figures with 11 points while grabbing six boards.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, where they will host Saint Mary’s College.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team took 6th overall at the annual Messiah-Petrofes Invitational.
Adrian Rosas continued his outstanding season in the 125 weight-class, rolling into the finals with two major decisions and two decisions before securing the title with another decision.
At 157, second-ranked wrestler in the nation, Aiden Smith had a 5-0 performance in the tournament, tallying two tech falls, a pin, and a decision to claim first place. Smith was also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, where they will compete in the Berg Holiday Duals at Heidelberg University.

The National Wrestling Coaches Association has released its second NCAA Women’s Coaches Poll for the 2025–26 season, marking a milestone for the Bulldogs as four athletes earn spots in the regional rankings.
At 103 pounds, Alexis Baumgarthner comes in at number five.
Carleigh Czerneski ranks number four at 117 pounds, Taylor Cutler holds the number five spot at 145 pounds, and Mia Gaetjens (gate-jins) is number 3 at 180 pounds. Gaetjens also climbed to number 5 in the national poll.
The Bulldogs travel to North Central College December 14th.

The Adrian College track and field team traveled to Saginaw Valley State University for the Holiday Invite.
Top-10 finishes on the men’s side were:
Brandon Berry, 5th in the high jump…and Ian Chavis, 10th in the long jump.
Alysia Townsend was sixth in the high jump on the women’s side.
The Bulldogs are back in action in January, where they will head back to Saginaw Valley State University.
