Siena Heights linebacker Clarke Hamilton was named Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Defensive Player of the Year, highlighting a haul of conference awards for the Saints’ football team.
A total of five SHU players were named All-MSFA Mideast First Team while seven took Second Team honors and three were named Honorable Mention.
Clarke Hamilton, fellow linebacker Jalen Edwards, and defensive linemen A.J. Knox and Greg Predina were listed on the First Team. Wide receiver Tendaji Alexander was the lone player from offense on the First Team.
The Second Team group included quarterback Braylen Himmelein, running back Jaylen Flowers and wide receiver Credell Prather. The three defenders were all DBs, Brevin Jackson, Kieran Jackson and Joe Nemecek. Return specialist Numehnne Gwilly was also selected.
Honorable mentions included Brendan Haisenleder, Ian Furlong and Clifford Moore Jr.

The Adrian College Equestrian Team finished their fall semester at The Held in Albion…and the coach said that it was the Bulldogs’ strongest competition to date.
Captain Christopher Warwick qualified for Regionals in horsemanship, joining teammates Tommi Bok, Emma Leonard, and Baylie Villani, who had previously secured their spots for the March Regional competition.
Frank Audette, Bryleigh Ahearn, Lauren Bartkiewicz, and Baylie Villani each won their division classes. The team will be back in action on Sunday, January 25th at Michigan State University.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team has climbed to number 25 in the latest NCAA Division 3 Open Mat Wrestling Rankings.
Adrian Rosas moved up to 16th in the country at 125 pounds, while Aiden Smith maintained his position as the number 2 wrestler in the nation. Both Rosas and Smith remain undefeated on the season, each carrying a 5–0 record.
The Bulldogs will compete at the Concordia University Wisconsin Open Saturday morning.
