We are about two weeks away from tipping-off the high school boys basketball season. 96.5 The Cave and Lenawee TV aired their annual Coaches Preview Show live from Skytech Sports Bar on Main Street in Adrian on Sunday.
Tecumseh Indians head coach Jamison Webster highlighted his team’s defensive philosophy…and how it turns into offense at the other end…
Webster talked about some new faces to the Tecumseh roster…
The Indians begin their season at Dexter on November 28th. Their first home game will be against Clinton on December 5th.

The Adrian College football team could not hold on to a two-score second half lead, and lost to Alma College on the road Saturday, 35-34.
The Bulldogs concluded their season with an 8–2 overall record and a 5–2 mark in MIAA play.
Adrian quarterback Noah Beaudrie finished the day 30-of-44 passing for 374 yards and three touchdowns. Ethan Abberger had 241 receiving yards on 13 catches. Defensively, Liam Karry paced Adrian with 14 total tackles, followed by 11 from Andrew VanDyke and 10 from Ethan Burrows. Burrows and Tim Simons each recorded an interception.
The Bulldogs reached the eight-win mark for the first time since 2014. Head coach Joe Palka now holds a 14–6 career record at Adrian over two seasons.

The Siena Heights football team hosted its final game in program history, dropping a 47-16 contest to 11th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday at O’Laughlin Stadium.
Wide receivers Tendaji Alexander and Credell Prather scored touchdowns for the Saints. Prather was SHU’s leading receiver with seven receptions for 144 yards.
Quarterback Braylen Himmelein finished 15 of 28 for 211 yards, one TD and two interceptions. Brevin Jackson had 10 tackles for the Siena Heights defense.
Clarke Hamilton had eight tackles and a forced fumble. Markel Main forced a fumble. SHU’s final points in program history came on a 1-yard TD run by Credell Prather.

The Siena Heights men’s basketball team rolled to a 96-67 win over East-West in non-conference play on Saturday at the SHU Fieldhouse.
Jonas Tester led a quintet of SHU scorers in double-figures, putting in 22 points. George Kalatzis added 20 points. Jack Olis and Joshua Wilson scored 11 points apiece and Terrence Partridge put in 10.
The 2-1 Saints return to action Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. WHAC opener at Cornerstone.

The Adrian College men’s basketball team traveled to Capital University on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup, where the Bulldogs fell 79–56.
Carson Lutz and Dylan Gira led the Bulldogs offensively, each finishing with 11 points. Gira also paced Adrian on the boards with six rebounds.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday, where they will host Wittenberg University for their home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM.

The Adrian College women’s basketball team traveled to Case Western Reserve University for a competitive non-conference match-up, losing 65-58.
Morgan Babb led Adrian with an all-around performance, posting 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Aubrie Ickes added 11 points and grabbed 7 boards, while Ava Schultz chipped in 9 points and matched the seven-rebound mark.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday, where they will welcome Bluffton University inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

The No. 2 Adrian College NCAA men’s hockey team wrapped up its two-game road series at No. 3 Aurora University on Saturday… losing the game 1-0 in overtime. AC also dropped their Friday contest with the Spartans 6-4.
The Bulldogs outshot the Spartans 28-15, and Ryan Piros made 14 saves in goal.
The Bulldogs return home to open play at Arrington Ice Arena, hosting Lawrence University on November 21st–22nd.

The Adrian College women’s hockey team continued its strong start to conference play with a commanding 7–1 win over Aurora on Saturday afternoon at Arrington Ice Arena. The Bulldogs set the tone early with a four-goal first period and never looked back, improving to 4–0 in league play.
Carly Carpenter scored twice, while Paige Pomerleau, Riley Jonson, Hunter Reardon, Ava Mattaliano, and Courtney Ben netted single tallies. Kiera Stack finished with 16 saves on 17 shots for the Dogs.
The Bulldogs will head to Lawrence University Friday and Saturday as they continue conference play.

The Adrian College Cross Country team wrapped up their 2025 season with a trip to Louisville, Kentucky for the NCAA Regional Championships.
The Bulldogs put together a gritty effort, with the men’s team finishing 23rd and the women placing 31st overall.
For the men, Will Houvener placed 30th. On the women’s side, Bridget Waterstardt led the pack, with a 107th place finish.

The Adrian College men’s wrestling team hosted their first home dual of the 2025–26 season, ultimately falling 25–13 in a hard-fought matchup against Case Western Reserve University on Saturday.
AC picked up wins by Adrian Rosas, Connor Williams, Aiden Smith, and Tanner Craft.
The Bulldogs turned around and competed at the Albion Invite on Sunday, with the NCAA squad earning a sixth-place team finish.
Maxwell Mader, Brody Chase, Olen Moshier, Paul Hostetler, Calob Heilman, Angelo Mastroianni, Scott Smith, and recent Clinton grad Hamza Rafferty delivered podium finishes.
The Bulldog men’s wrestling team will be back in action on Saturday, where they will compete in the Concordia University Wisconsin Open.
