
Adrian, MI – Here are the local highlights from Wednesday’s Inside the Cave Sports Update…

The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim & Dive Team competed against Dundee, New Boston Huron, and Monroe St Mary Catholic Central in Dundee on Tuesday in their regular season finale.
Tecumseh beat SMCC 124-50 and New Boston Huron 114-61. The Indians fell to host Dundee, 100-84.
Tecumseh had 4 overall first place finishes, 12 Individual PRs, and 2 Season Best Times. First place finishes included Maddy Proskie in the 200 yard Freestyle, Madison Betz in diving, Madison Proskie, again, in the 500 yard Freestyle, and the 200 yard Freestyle Relay Team of Madison Betz, Kellie Fahey, Ciel Stolberg, and Aubree Barkway.
Tecumseh’s next meet is their Southeastern Conference meet at Jackson High School with prelims on November 7th and finals on November 8th at noon on both days.

The Adrian Maples volleyball team battled their way to a hard-fought victory over Ann Arbor Huron on Tuesday night, winning in five sets: 25-17, 25-17, 18-25, 23-25, 15-4.
Senior Ella Salenbien notched her 1,000th career kill in the match.
Stat Leaders were:
Edynn Eichorn: 27 digs, 3 aces
Ella Salenbien: 20 kills, 15 digs
Ashley Condon: 40 assists
Kacey Harrah: 12 kills, 4 aces

Tecumseh traveled to Battle Creek Harper Creek on Tuesday for a quad, ending the regular season for the Indians.
Tecumseh lost to Division 1, 6th rank Forrest Hills Northern in two sets 21-25 and 21-25. Tecumseh then went on to defeat Division 2, 10th ranked Harper Creek 25-18 and 25-16. The Indians also defeated Lakewood 25-17 and 25-19.
Stat leaders were:
Riley Harrah: 24 kills, 17 digs, and served 28 for 28
Emma Eldred: 22 kills and 4 blocks
Addi Zajac: 16 kills and 5 blocks
Lily Gnodtke: 60 assists
And Morgan Malinczak: 10 digs and served 27 for 27
Tecumseh ends regular season play with a record of 51-2.
They next play in the District semifinal at Adrian High School Wednesday November 5th, at 5:30pm against the winner of Adrian and Columbia Central.

Lenawee Christian defeated Sand Creek in TCC play in three sets, 25-14, 25-23, and 25-12.
Hattie Fansler led the cougars in kills with 15, followed by Ava Feick with 10 kills & Gigi Masters & Hannah Acuna Holloway each with 4. Leah Sherman & Brynn Davis led the LCS defense with 10 digs each, followed by Emma Clark with 7 digs.
Stat Leaders for Sand Creek were:

Sydney Marks – 7 kills and 3 digs
And Lily Hawkins – 6 assists, 6 digs and 4 aces

The Adrian College women’s soccer team wrapped up its 2025 regular season on the road Tuesday evening, falling 5–0 to Calvin University.
With the loss, Adrian concludes its regular season with a 6–11–1 overall record and a 3–5 mark in conference play. The 6th-seeded Bulldogs will play 3rd-seeded Trine University on the road in the MIAA quarterfinal round on Saturday.

The 9th-ranked Adrian College NCAA Women’s Hockey team will hit the road this weekend to play in a top-ten battle with Augsburg University Friday and Saturday in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Head Coach Chad Davis was a guest on the ‘AC All-Access’ show on 96.5 the Cave…which airs live from Fricker’s in Adrian Monday nights from 7-8pm. The Bulldogs are projected to win the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association by a slim margin over rival St. Norbert College.
The NCHA has, over the years, been a one-bid league into the NCAA playoffs. Coach Davis talked about having to schedule several ranked opponents during the season to bolster their resume…
The Bulldogs’ first home game is scheduled for Friday, November 7th.

The Siena Heights University men’s basketball is preparing for their final season, as the school is set to shut down at the end of the academic year.

The Saints start their regular season Wednesday, November 5th at home vs. Great Lakes Christian at 7:30pm in the SHU Fieldhouse.
