The preseason national polls for NCAA Division 3 men’s hockey were recently released by DIIIHockeyNews and USCHO.com, with the Adrian College Bulldogs earning the Number 10 ranking in both polls to open the 2025-26 season.
The Bulldogs are coming off an 18-10-1 campaign in their first season under head coach Adam Phillips. Adrian finished fourth in the NCHA standings with a 10-7-1 conference record, securing the number 4 seed in the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs.
The Bulldogs advanced past MSOE in the quarterfinals after a thrilling mini-game victory, then stunned number 2 seed Aurora University with a road shutout. Adrian’s postseason run concluded with a loss to top-ranked St. Norbert in the Harris Cup Finals, narrowly missing an NCAA Tournament berth as the first team out and finishing number 11 in the NPI rankings.
In the USCHO.com poll, fellow NCHA programs St. Norbert, Aurora, and Trine also earned top-10 recognition. The DIIIHockeyNews preseason poll mirrors those results. Hobart enters the season as the No. 1-ranked team in both polls, while Adrian’s opening-weekend opponent, Utica University, holds the No. 2 spot.

The NCAA Division 3 women’s hockey preseason polls were recently released by DIIIHockeyNews and USCHO.com, with the Adrian College Bulldogs earning the number 9 ranking in both national polls to open the 2025-26 season.
Adrian is coming off a strong 2024-25 campaign in which the team posted a 23-4-2 overall record. The Bulldogs finished second in the NCHA standings with a 15-1-2 conference mark and advanced to the Slaats Cup Finals after a dominant playoff run. Their postseason ended in heartbreak, however, as Adrian fell 3-2 in overtime on the road to St. Norbert College and narrowly missing out on an NCAA Tournament berth.
St. Norbert, ranked No. 6, is the only other NCHA team featured in the national polls.
The Bulldogs will open the 2025-26 regular season on October 31 and November 1 with a two-game road series at No. 2 Augsburg University.
