Friday nights at Thompson Field in Hudson are always special, but this week will have a different feel to it, as the community celebrates 50 years of ‘The Streak’… 72 consecutive wins by the Hudson Tigers football team.
Hudson Alumni Director Lindsey Rogers was on 96.5 The Cave to talk about the upcoming event to honor those involved in the historic run by the Tigers between 1968 and 1975…

The Tecumseh High School Girls Swim & Dive Team won their conference meet at Ypsilanti on Tuesday, 133-35.
Tecumseh took 11 out of 12 first place finishes. Tecumseh’s next meet is a quad against Dundee, New Boston Huron, and St. Mary Catholic Central on Tuesday the 28th at Dundee High School at 6pm.

Blissfield volleyball defeated Hillsdale Tuesday in their senior night, and final home game of the season, 25-18, 25-13, and 25-19.
Stat leaders were:
Leigh Wyman 16 kills, 8 digs, and 2 blocks
Brooklyn Fetzer had 16 assists, 11 digs, and 5 aces
Brooke Robinson had 8 assists and 12 digs
Harper Collins had 19 digs

Tecumseh volleyball won their SEC match against Pinckney on Tuesday in three sets…25-9, 25-9, and 25-14.
It was Senior Night for the Indian’s six seniors… Chloe Bullinger, Emma Eldred, Lily Gnodtke, Morgan Malinczak, Lainey Sysko, and Maddy VanBlack.
Stat Leaders were:
Emma Eldred: 8 kills and 7 digs
Lily Gnodtke: 20 assists, 8 digs, and served 14/14
Morgan Malinczak: 10 digs
Maddy VanBlack: served 25 for 26 with 3 aces.
Tecumseh improves to 34-1 on the season…and will host a quad on Thursday against Ann Arbor Pioneer and D2 honorable mention Flat Rock.

The Sand Creek Aggies Volleyball team hosted the Erie-Mason Eagles…winning in 4 sets.
The Aggies won the first set, 25-13, the Eagles took the second set, 17-25, then Sand Creek won the final two sets 25-22.
Stat Leaders were:
Lily Hawkins – 14 Assists, 11 kills, 11 digs and 2 blocks
Kayla Meszaros – 13 digs and 3 assists
Sydney Marks – 8 kills, 2 aces, and 2 digs
Elise Wilkinson – 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 3 digs

The Lenawee Christian Cougars defeated the Blissfield Royals in the soccer playoffs Tuesday, 6-1.
Max Stamats had all six LCS tallies. The Cougars will play Clinton for the district championship on Thursday at LCS at 6pm.

The Adrian College women’s soccer team came up short in a tightly contested matchup Tuesday night, falling 1-0 to Trine University inside Docking Stadium.
Defensively, goalkeeper Katelyn Stanton made 10, keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance.
AC falls to 2-2 in MIAA play, and will take on Olivet Saturday afternoon.

The Adrian College women’s volleyball team made the short trip to Trine University on Tuesday night for a MIAA matchup, where the Bulldogs fell in four sets.
Defensively, Rainie Atherton stood out with a season-high 27 digs, while Kora Nicolanti added 11 of her own. At the net, Kayla Chan had a season-best 10 blocks.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, where they will host Calvin University at 1 PM.

The Siena Heights men’s golf team wrapped up its fall season with a top-three finish at the Lourdes Invitational at the Sylvania Country Club.
Siena Heights tied with Madonna to finish third out of 11 teams.
Tyrus Whitman and Kasen Kauffman finished in the top ten of the individual leaderboard. Whitman finished with a score of 75, which tied for sixth. Kauffman tied for eighth with a final score of 76.
The Saints will return to the links in the spring at Lawrence Tech Heritage Hill Collegiate in March.
