Adrian, MI – Here is the Inside the Cave Sports Update from Thursday…

Adrian boys soccer lost to Pinckney 3-2 on Wednesday.

Nate Wojcik and Parker Smith scored for the Maples, with Santiago Bernal earning an assist. Nolan Wood had 5 saves in the loss.

The Clinton boys soccer team defeated LCAA foe Blissfield on Wednesday, 3-0.

Ida boys soccer took down Onsted, 12-0

The Clinton Redwolves volleyball team recently defeated Onsted in straight sets to improve their LCAA record to 6-0.

Setter Avery Loftis had 6 kills, 19 assists, and 10 digs, while setter Addison Loftis added 6 kills, 15 assists, and 12 digs.

Abby Sheneman picked up 11 kills, 3 digs and 1 solo block. Bella Bannon also recorded 7 kills while adding 6 digs. On the outside, Makenna Gore tallied 5 kills, Rylee Pepper contributed 4 kills and 8 digs, and Zoey Utz chipped in with 1 kill.

Defensively, libero Brailey Gibson anchored the back row with 19 digs and 1 ace, while Calli Kruger added 6 digs and 2 aces. Lila Kennedy was effective from the service line and in defense, finishing with 5 digs and 3 aces.

The Madison Trojans volleyball team won their LCAA match against Hudson in four sets.

Junior Ja’Kara Rincon was honored for earning her 1,000th career assist. Other stat-leaders include Kianna McKinney with 22 digs, Lilly Pharion with 23 kills, and Bella Lamley had with 8 blocks.

The Siena Heights men’s soccer team faltered in its home opener, losing 5-0 to non-conference opponent Albion on Wednesday night.

SHU goalie Yuriy Tukalevskyy totaled five saves. In the 83rd minute, Trevor Meyer subbed in for Tukalevskyy. Meyer totaled two saves.

Albion outshot SHU 16-10. Siena Heights will return to play Saturday, opening WHAC play at home against Defiance at 4pm.

The Adrian College men’s soccer team hit the road for a midweek matchup against Lawrence Tech on Wednesday night, where the Bulldogs fell 5-0.

AC will hit the road once more and travel to Wilmington College on Friday at 7 PM.

The Adrian College cornhole team opened its 2025–26 season with a strong showing, finishing third overall in a competitive field.

Alex Weaver led the way in the Singles Bracket, securing a third-place finish, while the duo of Aidan Sicilia and Zac Blaylock claimed second place in the Doubles Bracket.

In the Singles Rounders, Weaver and Blaylock each went undefeated at 3-0. Abbie Sawicki, Ethan Freeman, Carson Ashley, and Sicilia also performed well, each finishing with a 2-1 record.

In the Singles Finals Bracket, Weaver posted a 2-1 record to earn his third-place finish. In the Doubles Rounders, Sicilia and Blaylock went 2-0, then added a 2-1 performance in the Doubles Finals Bracket to secure second place.

Blaylock led the team with an impressive 9-3 record, while Sicilia followed closely behind at 8-4.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, September 27, when they travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for a tournament hosted by the University of Tennessee.
