The Adrian Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed in the SEC Red and White Division Meet at the Willow Metropark.

Both teams finished 7th out of the 14 schools in the conference. The girls were led by Ayda Skeels, Madison Petty, Karina Mahai-Grammes, Klair Baker and Astrid Leininger.

The boys were led by Moises Salazar, Parker Smith, Easton Coscarelli, Landin Fisher. and Lucas Zeckner.

Adrian girls golf traveled to Ypsilanti for a tri match with Ypsi Public and Ypsi Lincoln.

The Maples defeated Ypsilanti 221 to 288. Lincoln failed to field enough players to score.

Adrian scores were Goldie Snead, Match Medalist, at 46. Maya Awad and Cristy Cepida shot a 56, Claire Judson fired a 63. Alexis Fox had a 65, and Nicole Rodocker shot a 67.

The Madison Trojans volleyball team defeated Hillsdale in three straight sets Tuesday night… 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Varsity leaders for the night were Kianna McKinney with 22 digs, Bella Lamley with 4 blocks, Lilly Pharion with 14 kills, and Ja’Kara Rincon with 18 assists, 19 digs, and 5 aces.

The Trojans are 10-7 overall, 4-1 in the LCAA.

The Adrian Maples volleyball team defended their home court Tuesday night with a four-set victory over the visiting Jackson Vikings, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, and 25-18.

Ella Salenbien had 13 kills and 18 digs, while Addyson Martolock paced the offense with 18 kills to go along with 22 digs. Suzy Hedrick added 16 digs to keep the defense steady, and setter Edynn Eichorn had 35 assists and 14 digs.

The Tecumseh Indians volleyball team took three straight sets against the Chelsea Bulldogs Tuesday night, 29-27, 25-23, and 25-15.

Stat leaders for Tecumseh were:

Emma Eldred: 14 kills and 12 digs
Lily Gnodtke: 35 assists and 3 blocks
Addi Zajac: 6 kills and 2 blocks
And Riley Harrah: 10 kills

Tecumseh Improves to 10-1 on the season…and will host a quad match on Thursday, beginning at 5pm.

The Sand Creek Aggies volleyball team lost to the Morenci Bulldogs in a thrilling 5 set match on Tuesday night.

Sand Creek took the first set, 26-24. Morenci took the second set, 20-25. SC won the third set 25-14. The Bulldogs were victorious in set four, 13-25… and set five 13-15.

Stat leaders for the Aggies were:
Kayla Meszaros – 18 digs
Jalyn Snyder – 18 digs
Sydney Marks – 14 kills
And Lily Hawkins – 11 assists

The Blissfield Royals volleyball team lost a LCAA match to Hudson… 18-25, 16-25, and 17-25.

Stat leaders for the Royals were:

Leigh Wyman with 7 kills and 15 digs
Carley Watson with 4 kills
Brooklyn Fetzer with 11 assists and 3 aces
And Eva Wilson with 18 digs

Blissfield will be home vs. Ida on Tuesday, September 16th.

The Blissfield girls and boys cross country teams took home the team titles at the Madison Jamboree Tuesday to open LCAA competition.

On the girls side behind the Royals was: Onsted, Ida, Clinton, Dundee, Hudson, and Hillsdale.

Hope Miller, Hailey Sills, Anna Hallett, and Kaleea Braun for Blissfield took the top four spots. Clinton’s Ella Claus took fifth place.

On the boys side behind the Royals was: Madison, Onsted, Hillsdale, Clinton, Dundee, Hudson, and Ida.

Hillsdale’s Logan Youngman won the individual title…followed by Blissfield’s Michael Weidmayer, Madison’s Trenton Fetter, Blissfield’s Noah Sills, and Clinton’s Haiden Bennett.
