Adrian, MI – Here is the Inside the Cave Sports Update from Friday morning…

The Tecumseh volleyball team took three wins Thursday at a quad hosted by Lincoln. The Indians beat Monroe, Lincoln, and Ann Arbor Christian in straight sets.

Emma Eldred had 14 kills and 9 aces, Lily Gnodtke had 64 assists, Chloe Bullinger picked up 14 digs, and Riley Harrah earned 22 kills, 18 digs, and 6 aces.

Tecumseh improves to an overall season record of 9-1.

The Lenawee Christian volleyball team earned another Tri-County Conference victory at home against Erie Mason.

Brynn Davis had 37 assists for the evening while also contributing 5 kills. Hattie Fansler was the offensive leader with 23 kills, followed by Ava Feick with 10. Leah Sherman led the defense with 23 digs and the team had a total of 11 blocks.

The Sand Creek Aggies volleyball team defeated Britton-Deerfield in three straight sets Thursday.

Some stat leaders for Sand Creek were: Olivia Swander with 12 assists, Sydney Marks had 11 kills, Kayla Mezsaros picked up 15 digs, and Jalyn Snyder had 10 digs for the Aggies.

The Adrian boys tennis team started SEC White play at Pinckney Thursday night, winning 7-1.

The Maples next match is Tuesday at home against Jackson.

The Adrian boys soccer team tied Jackson 3-3. The Maples record is now 4-1-1.

Nate Wojcik scored two for Adrian, with Carter Allen netting the other goal. Brysen Smith and Santiago Bernal each had an assist for the Maples.

Nolan Wood turned aside 7 Jackson shots on goal.

Adrian girls golf dropped both ends of a tri match to Ann Arbor Skyline and Tecumseh.

Adrian Scores were Goldie Snead with a 54, Nicole Rodocker and Claire Judson had a 58, Laila Rising, Maya Awad, and Alexis Fox each fired a 59.

The Maples next travel to Lincoln for a tri match including Ypsilanti on September 9th.

The Tecumseh Indians are looking for win number two on the 2025 season tonight as they host the Pinckney Pirates.

Their week one game was in doubt half way through the football contest, but a key defensive play by Luke Dunham turned their fortunes around. He was the Iott Insurance Athlete of the Week, and was a guest on Inside the Cave Thursday morning.

Patt Hayes talked to Dunham about the play that helped propel Tecumseh to a 42-16 win…
