Blissfield Royals boys soccer fell 2-1 at St. Mary Catholic Central Wednesday. The lone tally was netted by Skyler Kimple, assisted by Caleb Vore.

Lenawee Christian and Blissfield boys soccer played to a 2-2 draw Monday. Max Stamats had both tallies for the Cougars. Zyan Breznik turned away 12 Royals shots.

Adrian boys soccer took down SEC White foe Chelsea, 2-1 Wednesday. Brysen Smith and Nathan Wojcik scored for the Maples. Santi Bernal picked up an assist.
Nolan Wood had 4 saves for Adrian High.

Madison boys cross country won the Pittsford Early Bird Event Wednesday…defeating Concord by one point.
Top ten finishers were: Trenton Fetter, who won the event. Paul McClure took 4th. John Berlinde was 6th. Bryson Ballantyne finished 7th.
Top ten finisher for the Madison girls was Avery Stover…who finished 7th.

Tecumseh volleyball kicked off the season on Wednesday, hosting a 12 team super quad, and picking up three wins.
The Indians defeated Grass Lake, Milan, and Whiteford in two straight sets each.
State leaders for Tecumseh were: Lily Gnodtke, Emma Eldred, Chloe Bullinger, Maddie McFarland, and Riley Harrah.
Tecumseh travels to Roscommon this weekend for an up north weekend, competing in a quad on Friday.

When the Britton-Deerfield Patriots football team takes the field next week, they will do so on new turf.
BD head football Erik Johnson talked about the improvements with Cave Sports…
Coach, and Athletic Director, Johnson highlighted some of the key players for the Patriots… including his quarterback Caden Kubacki… who were one win away from playing for a state championship in 2024…
Britton-Deerfield will be on the road next Thursday against Pittsford. Their home opener will be September 4th versus Mendon.

Adrian College has announced the hiring of Rodney Stewart as the new head coach of its ACHA Division 3 Men’s Hockey program.
A 2011 graduate of Arizona State University, Stewart competed on the university’s ACHA hockey team during his collegiate career.

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced its 2025 Women’s Volleyball Preseason Coaches Poll, with Adrian College projected to finish fifth.
Hope College enters the season as the preseason favorite, while Calvin University claimed the remaining three first-place votes to take the second spot. Albion College was tabbed third, followed by Trine University.
Adrian placed fifth, ahead of Alma College, Saint Mary’s College, The University of Olivet, and Kalamazoo College in ninth.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 7-13 overall record last season, including a 4-4 mark in conference play.

The Siena Heights Athletic Department will host its final Fall Coaches Preview at Aubree’s Pizzeria and Grill on Monday, August 25th.
The live show will start at 5 p.m. on 96.5 The Cave, and is open to the public.
The preview will feature coaches from fall sports teams highlighting the 2025 fall seasons. Each coach will speak on the current state of their team and expectations for the upcoming season.
Women’s Volleyball, Football, Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Golf, and Vice President of Athletics Sue Syljebeck will all be featured.

The festivities will be held on Sunday, October 5, at Woodlawn Golf Course. Breakfast and check-in start at 9:30am and shotgun start tee time is set for 10am.

Siena Heights Athletics will induct its final class of student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and teams, into the SHU Athletics Hall of Fame during the 2025-26 school year.
The new members will be honored at 1 of 5 Hall of Fame banquets to be conducted in 2025-26.

The Toledo Mud Hens won game two of their series against the Red Wings on another rainy night in Rochester Wednesday. Toledo’s offense struggled early, but the late-game heroics of Eduardo Valencia propelled the team to a 7-4 victory.
Valencia was 2-3 with two homeruns and all 7 Toledo RBIs.
The Toledo Mud Hens and the Rochester Red Wings will face off again Thursday at 1:05 p.m.

Dillon Dingler tripled in a six-run first inning and the Detroit Tigers finished a sweep of the Houston Astros with a 7-2 win.
Dingler added a double and scored twice as the Tigers won for the seventh time in eight games. The Astros have lost four straight. Charlie Morton allowed two runs on three hits and three walks in six innings.
Framber Valdez gave up seven runs, matching a season high, in five innings. The Tigers scored five runs before Valdez recorded an out.
