Holland, MI – The Adrian College men’s basketball team traveled to Hope College Wednesday night for the quarterfinal round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament.
The Bulldogs (7-19, 5-9 MIAA) were the No.6 seed in the bracket, with the Flying Dutchmen (15-11, 9-5 MIAA) earning the No.3 seed. AC held within striking distance of HC in the first part of the opening half, but the home team hit a buzzer-beating three point basket right before half to take a 42-27 advantage to the locker room.
Adrian was led in scoring by sophomore guard Braylon Dickerson, who finished the game with 16 points. Senior Nick Seifert scored 12 points for the Bulldogs.
Hope never trailed in the contest, pulling away to earn an 81-55 victory to advance in the MIAA Tournament semifinal round. The game was broadcast on 96.5fm The Cave’s sister station, 103.9fm WLEN with Ian Wendt.
